Investment Accountant II
The Investment Accountant II ensures that investment accounting policies and procedures are correctly applied to accounting records. Under general supervision, this job works directly with asset management, portfolio management and acquisition/disposition teams.
Key Responsibilities And Duties
- May prepare certain SEC filings.
- Prepares timely and accurate financial statements including GAAP and/or statutory work papers and supporting schedules to satisfy all investment accounting requirements.
- Work directly with auditors to answer audit inquiries, and provide additional documentation as needed to support the completion of annual audits.
- Analyzes financial information to ensure compliance with investment accounting policies and procedures.
- Calculates performance returns.
- Seeks guidance from senior Investment Accountants regarding issues that require more advanced knowledge and experience.
- May prepare Funds’ shareholder reports and certain support work-papers.

Compensation and Benefits Accounting – Associate

POSITION SUMMARY
- The Compensation and Benefits Accounting Team is a part of the Office of the CFO and Controllership organization. The Associate will be a member of a team of professionals that serve as the organizational center of excellence for compensation, benefits, and equity plan accounting to deliver best in class accounting and support business partners with reporting and analysis. The Associate will be responsible for accounting and reporting for compensation, benefits and equity plans.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Ensure complete, accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes for compensation (Various short term and long term award plan) , benefits and equity plan accounting.
- Prepare and record monthly journal entries and adjusting entries, as needed
- Prepare pre-close month over month variance analysis and explanations
- Work independently to monitor, maintain, and reconcile complex general ledger accounts; liaise with cross functional team to research and resolve reconciliation exceptions
- Participate in special projects and ad hoc reporting
- Cross train on various accounting functions within the team
- Participate in completing and reviewing internal and external audit requirements
- Integrate new unit/award issuance; forfeiture, termination into accounting processes and workpapers, as required
- Assist with researching related technical accounting or reporting issues and provide timely, accurate and well documented guidance to ensure proper accounting treatment
- Maintain compliance with GAAP or regulatory accounting and reporting requirements
- Monitor and maintain written documentation of policies, procedures, processes, and controls within Compensation and benefit areas
- Become thoroughly familiar with assigned general ledger accounts, compensation and benefit programs, business segments and applicable technical accounting areas
Required Skills:
- CA/CPA is a mandatory
- 7+ years of experience in an accounting or finance role
- Experience in accounting and/or audit procedures
- Experience with financial accounting systems
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, proven ability to work as an effective team player and ability to collaborate
- Demonstrated strength in analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and achieve targeted outcomes
- A commitment to a culture of excellence and client service

- Working knowledge of VBA / Macros is a plus and Power BI
- Previous experience with PeopleSoft
