Assistant Manager Freight Forwarding Sales

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage strong business relationships with existing and prospective clients across various industries.
• Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities in

  air, sea, and land freight forwarding

  .
• Prepare and deliver customized sales presentations, proposals, and quotations.
• Negotiate pricing and service terms in collaboration with internal pricing and operations teams.
• Coordinate with

  operations, customer service

  , and

  documentation teams

  to ensure smooth execution of freight solutions.
• Monitor and report on sales pipeline, forecasts, and performance metrics aligned with monthly and annual targets.
• Attend client meetings, trade shows, and industry events to promote company services and generate new leads.
• Provide high-quality after-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
• Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and regulatory changes affecting freight forwarding.
• Submit regular reports and updates to the Sales Manager on business development progress.
  

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in

  Business, Marketing, Logistics

  , or related field (preferred).

• 35 years

  of proven experience in

  freight forwarding or logistics sales

  .
• Strong knowledge of

  international trade, Incoterms

  , and

  freight operations

  (air, sea, and land).
• Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets in a competitive environment.
• Excellent

  negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills

  .
• Proficiency in

  MS Office

  tools and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho CRM).
• Self-driven and able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Willingness to

  travel

  for client meetings and industry networking events.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with

  customs clearance procedures

  and documentation processes.
• Experience in

  industry-specific verticals

  such as

  FMCG, automotive, electronics, or pharmaceuticals

  .
• Fluency in regional or foreign languages is an added advantage.
