Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to lead and oversee end-to-end execution of Machine Vision projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of automation and vision systems, combined with proven project management expertise. This role requires close coordination with clients, internal teams, and vendors to deliver projects within scope, time, and budget while ensuring high customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and monitor machine vision automation projects from initiation to closure.

• Define project scope, timelines, deliverables, and resource requirements.

• Lead cross-functional teams including design, software, hardware, and integration engineers.

• Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and meeting quality standards.

• Coordinate with customers for requirement gathering, project reviews, and sign-offs.

• Manage vendor relationships for equipment procurement and services.

• Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation (plans, schedules, risk,reports).

• Monitor risks and issues proactively, implementing corrective actions as needed.

• Support site execution, installation, commissioning, and customer acceptance.

• Drive continuous improvement in project execution processes.

Familiarity with automation equipment such as PLCs, robotics, conveyors, and integration with vision systems.

Qualifications

Education: B.E./B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Automation, or related field.

• Experience: 5–10 years of experience in industrial automation / machine vision project execution, with at least 3 years in project management.

• Strong knowledge of machine vision systems, industrial cameras, lighting, optics, and automation integration.

• Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent).

• PMP/PRINCE2 certification (preferred but not mandatory).

• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.

• Willingness to travel to client sites (as required).
