Role Summary


Assistant Manager- Marketing and Partnerships

This role blends strategic marketing with partnership development — fostering collaboration with industry, investors, government, and innovation networks. The incumbent will also drive market intelligence, communication strategy, and ecosystem-building activities to position FITT and IIT Delhi as national leaders in research-driven innovation.


Key Responsibilities


1)Brand Development & Communication

· Develop and execute FITT’s integrated marketing, communication, and outreach strategy.

· Design narratives showcasing IIT Delhi’s research excellence, technology transfer successes, and startup impact stories.

· Oversee content creation — newsletters, press releases, reports, and digital campaigns — ensuring consistent brand identity across all platforms.

· Build a strong visual and messaging framework for FITT’s institutional and program communications.

Partnership Development & Ecosystem Engagement

· Identify, cultivate, and manage relationships with industry partners, investors, government bodies, and innovation networks.

· Develop and manage strategic alliances for research collaboration, innovation challenges, CSR initiatives, and technology adoption.

· Build and maintain an engagement pipeline for organizations aligned with IIT Delhi’s innovation domains.

· Facilitate partnership proposals, agreements, and co-branded programs that strengthen FITT’s ecosystem presence.

· Represent FITT at key innovation and business forums to enhance brand positioning and stakeholder connect.


2)Market & Company Research

· Conduct ongoing research on emerging technologies, innovation trends, and funding opportunities across sectors.

· Map potential partners and collaborators in alignment with IIT Delhi’s research verticals and startup focus areas.

· Benchmark FITT’s engagement strategies with top global innovation and technology transfer organizations.

· Produce analytical briefs and sectoral intelligence reports to inform decision-making and outreach priorities.

Digital Marketing & Public Relations

· Manage FITT’s online presence — website, social media platforms, and digital storytelling channels.

· Design and execute data-driven digital campaigns to promote IIT Delhi’s research and startup ecosystem.

· Foster media relationships and ensure consistent press visibility for FITT’s major programs and events.

· Analyze audience engagement metrics to optimize content and campaign strategies.


3)Events & Campaigns

· Conceptualize and manage high-impact events such as FITT Forward, startup demo days, industry dialogues, and innovation showcases.

· Coordinate co-branded events and outreach programs in partnership with industry and government stakeholders.

· Develop marketing collateral, event kits, and promotional content aligned with FITT’s institutional tone.

Strategic Collaboration & Internal Alignment

· Collaborate with FITT’s incubation, IP, and business development teams to align communication and outreach with organizational priorities.

· Coordinate with IIT Delhi’s Communication and Alumni Affairs offices for integrated institutional branding.

· Support strategic documentation, donor engagement, and proposal communication with strong data and storytelling insights.


Qualifications & Experience

· Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, Management, or related field; Master’s degree (MBA/PGDM) preferred.

· 7–10 years of experience in marketing, partnership management, or business development, ideally within research, innovation, or startup ecosystems.

· Proven experience managing external partnerships, communications, and stakeholder engagement.

· Strong understanding of India’s R&D, corporate innovation, and technology commercialization landscape.

· Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills.

· Familiarity with CRM and digital marketing analytics tools.
