Job Summary:The Assistant Manager – Finance & Accounts will be responsible for managing and supervising all aspects of the organization’s financial and accounting functions. The role requires strong expertise in GST, taxation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, commercial control, and statutory compliance, along with hands-on experience in Tally ERP. The position demands an experienced professional with strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills to ensure the smooth functioning of finance operations and to support management in financial planning and decision-making. Key Responsibilities:1. Financial Accounting & Reporting, Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and MIS reports for management review. Manage general ledger functions, reconciliation of accounts, and month-end closing. Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial data. 2. Taxation & GSTHandle GST compliance including registrations, returns, reconciliations, and audits. Manage direct and indirect taxation matters, including TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory filings. Liaise with auditors, consultants, and tax authorities for assessments, queries, and audits. Keep abreast of changes in tax regulations and ensure company compliance. 3. Accounts Payable & ReceivableMonitor and control vendor payments, ensuring timely disbursements and adherence to credit terms. Manage customer receivables, follow-up on outstanding dues, and ensure timely collections. Review aging reports, reconcile vendor/customer statements, and resolve disputes. Optimize working capital by efficient handling of payables and receivables. 4. Commercial ControlReview and validate commercial contracts, purchase orders, and vendor agreements. Monitor cost controls, pricing strategies, and margins to ensure profitability. Ensure compliance with internal policies, approvals, and financial discipline. Provide commercial insights and support business heads in decision-making. 5. Compliance & AuditEnsure compliance with statutory requirements, internal controls, and company policies. Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits and provide necessary information. Implement strong internal control systems to safeguard company assets. 6. ERP & Systems (Tally ERP)Manage and maintain financial data in Tally ERP system. Generate reports, analyze financial performance, and ensure system accuracy. Support digitalization and automation initiatives in finance functions. Skills & Competencies:Strong knowledge of GST, taxation, accounts, and financial reporting. Hands-on experience in Tally ERP and other accounting software. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Strong leadership and team management abilities. Good communication and stakeholder management skills. High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail. Key Requirements:Minimum 10+ years of experience in finance and accounts, preferably in FMCG, manufacturing, or hospitality industry. Proven track record of handling taxation, GST, payables, receivables, and audits. Strong commercial acumen with the ability to control costs and optimize profitability.
