Assistant Manager

CohnReznick is a hybrid firm and most of our professionals are located within a commutable distance to one of our offices. This position is considered hybrid which means team members are expected to be thoughtful and intentional in how they create opportunities for in-person collaboration. While the cadence of in-office presence is determined at the team level, our professionals are encouraged to be in the office/together in person on average 3 days a week.

Accounts Payable

8+ years of hands-on Accounts Payable experience

The Client Advisory Services team is a rapidly growing team, where we partner with our clients to perform accounting and technology services. Some of our services include outsourced accounting, financial statement close assistance, virtual controller/CFO services, and accounting technology solution development.

YOUR ROLE.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Manage

  end-to-end Accounts Payable processes

  including vendor onboarding, invoice processing, and payment runs.
• Reconcile vendor accounts, credit card transactions, and third-party platform payments.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices in compliance with U.S. GAAP and client-specific policies.
• Collaborate with vendors and client teams to resolve discrepancies and maintain strong relationships.
• Prepare AP-related reports, aging schedules, and variance analysis for management review.
• Support month-end close activities by ensuring AP sub-ledgers reconcile with the general ledger.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management with a focus on payables.
• Track and reconcile payroll-related liabilities, tips, and gratuities in compliance with U.S. standards.
• Review work of junior associates in AP and provide mentorship.
• Maintain positive client and colleague relationships while ensuring quality control procedures are followed.
• Proactively seek knowledge, new tasks, and responsibilities to enhance AP efficiency

YOUR EXPERIENCE.

The successful candidate will have:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or finance with 8+ years of specialized Accounts Payable experience.
• Strong expertise in corporate AP processes such as vendor management, invoice processing, reconciliations, and cash disbursements.
• Experience in U.S. accounting, specifically in hospitality, real estate, renewable energy, and not-for-profit environments.
• Hands-on experience with POS systems and accounting platforms (QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, M3).
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and industry-specific AP practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with proven ability to resolve vendor queries.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Action-oriented (self-starter, team player, detail-oriented).
• Must be able to handle multiple priorities and effectively meet critical deadlines.
• Understanding of AP-related financial statement preparation and analysis.
