Key Responsibilities


  • P&L Ownership:

    Manage revenue, margin, and profitability. Daily Target Vs Sales Achievement Tracking. CM and GM of Category Analysis and Work on improving gross margins
  • Category Strategy:

    Define long-term and seasonal strategies for growth, market positioning, and customer engagement
  • Pricing & Assortment:

    Develop competitive pricing strategies, optimize assortment, and ensure the right product mix.
  • Supplier & Vendor Management:

    Build and manage relationships with vendors & suppliers to ensure consistent supply, quality, and competitive pricing
  • Market & Trend Analysis:

    Track industry trends, consumer demand, and competitor activity to guide decision-making.
  • Demand Forecasting & Inventory Planning:

    Collaborate with supply chain and planning teams to ensure optimal stock levels, minimize dead inventory, and maximize sell-through.
  • Promotions & Marketing:

    Work with marketing teams to plan category promotions, seasonal campaigns, and product launches aligned with consumer insights.
  • Compliance & Quality

    : Ensure all products meet quality standards.
  • Reporting & Insights:

    Regularly analyse category performance using key metrics and data analytics tools. Generate insightful reports and recommendations for senior management based on category performance.


Basic Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in category management for E-commerce/Retail/Quick Commerce.
  • Proven ability to manage supplier/vendor negotiations and build long-term partnerships.
  • Analytical mindset with comfort in working with data, sales numbers, and margins.should be proficient in Excel.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills – ability to work with marketing, design, & ops teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and build playbooks from scratch.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing large data sets and utilizing to drive performance and process improvements
  • Experience in vendor negotiations, pricing and promotion, inventory management, and product development
