Job Description
This role involves supporting brand management activities across assigned product categories, under the guidance of the Brand Manager. The Assistant Brand Manager/Brand Executive will be responsible for co-creating brand strategies, driving product innovation, executing marketing campaigns, supporting media planning activities, coordinating with internal teams and external agencies, and managing day-to-day brand operations across online and offline channels.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Management
- Assist in developing and implementing brand strategies and marketing plans
- Support market research activities, competitive analysis, and consumer insights projects
- Help maintain brand guidelines and ensure consistency across all touchpoints
- Coordinate brand activities across different product categories and launches
- Assist in managing brand P&L tracking and budget monitoring
Campaign Execution & Content Creation
- Execute integrated marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels
- Support the development of high-impact storytelling and content creation for various channels
- Assist in supervising creation of press releases, newsletters, website content, and other communication materials
- Support media planning, buying, tracking and impact measurement activities
- Collaborate with media agencies & internal teams to optimize spend and performance
- Coordinate with internal teams / creative agencies for campaign development and asset creation
- Manage campaign timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communications
- Assist in aligning influencer marketing, PR, and SEO efforts for maximum brand reach
- Support influencer collaborations and partnership activations
- Assist in media planning, support media buying coordination and vendor management
- Coordinate with media agencies for campaign execution and reporting
Product Launch & Innovation
- Support new product development activities from concept to launch, assisting in driving new product contribution across channels
- Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies
- Assist Product/R&D teams in conceptualizing product ideas based on market trends and consumer needs
- Support product launch coordination and ensure timely execution
- Help manage product lifecycle activities including packaging coordination and positioning support
- Assist in evaluation and enhancement of existing product offerings
- Coordinate with supply chain and operations teams for product launch deliverables
Digital & Social Media Coordination
- Work with the content marketing team to manage monthly social media calendar and content coordination
- Support performance marketing campaigns and digital advertising
- Monitor online brand conversations and sentiment tracking
Cross-functional Support
- Work closely with sales teams for trade marketing support and retail coordination
- Coordinate between internal media teams and external agencies
- Support PR activities and media relations coordination
- Assist in event planning and brand activation coordination
- Help manage vendor relationships and agency coordination
Data Analysis & Performance Tracking
- Compile weekly / monthly performance reports across all channels
- Monitor brand performance metrics including market share, brand health indicators and offtake performance metrics across channels
- Track and analyze media performance data and ROI on marketing investments
- Support market research projects and consumer insights analysis
- Maintain brand performance dashboards and KPI tracking
- Assist in competitive intelligence and market trend analysis
- Use consumer insights and market research data to support strategic recommendations
Core Competencies
- Deep interest in Indian consumer behavior, especially Gen Z and millennial demographics
- Strong understanding and passion for beauty industry and understanding of beauty trends
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with focus on market research and consumer insights
- Good understanding of marketing fundamentals and brand management principles
- Hands-on interest in digital marketing, influencer partnerships, PR, and SEO
- Understanding of both digital and traditional media channels
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and process orientation
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Familiarity with digital analytics tools (Google Analytics, social media insights)
- Understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing basics
- Basic knowledge of AI platforms, media metrics, analytics and performance measurement
- Knowledge of market research tools and survey platforms would be an advantage

Mandatory Qualifications and Experience:
- MBA/PGDM in Marketing from Tier 1/2 Business school OR Post-graduation from a premier institute (preferably in Marketing/Communications/Mass Media)
- 1-3 years of experience in brand management, marketing, advertising, or media planning
- Fresh MBA/Postgraduation graduates with relevant internships will also be considered
- Experience in FMCG, beauty, personal care, or lifestyle brands preferred
- Prior experience in cosmetics/beauty industry will be an added advantage
