Impact
This role is critical to ensuring the seamless processing of ACH transactions that support the bank’s core payment operations. The Analyst will play a key role in maintaining operational accuracy, mitigating financial risk, and supporting regulatory compliance. By delivering consistent and timely execution, this role directly contributes to client satisfaction, operational resilience, and the broader success of the bank's payments ecosystem.
Key Deliverables
- ACH Transaction Management - Ensure timely and accurate transmission and receipt of all ACH transactions to and from the ACH operator via BRAC and the Federal Reserve Bank (FRB).
- File Transmission Oversight - Oversee the secure and complete delivery of ACH-related files including DDA, GL, and loan posting files to internal systems and external counterparties.
- EDI Remittance Setup - Coordinate with the FRB to establish EDI remittance configurations for commercial clients, ensuring compliance with operational standards.
- Government Reclamations & Death Notices - Process government reclamations and death notice entries in line with federal regulations and internal procedures.
- ACH Origination & Risk Exposure - Facilitate ACH origination requests and monitor exposure limit setups, ensuring alignment with client profiles and internal risk thresholds.
- OFAC Monitoring - Manage OFAC sanctions screening for ACH transactions, ensuring full compliance with regulatory obligations through the ACH processing platform.
- Client File Setup & Maintenance- Handle setup and ongoing maintenance of AR files, NACHA return files, and origination mirror files for commercial clients.
- File Testing & Resolution- Conduct ACH file format validation, test file transmissions, and address related exceptions or formatting issues as required.
- Reconciliation & Research- Perform reconciliation of file transmissions and research transaction issues, variances, and exceptions in a timely manner.
- General Ledger Variance Resolution- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in ACH-related general ledger accounts to maintain financial integrity.
- Volume & Credit Reporting- Generate client volume reports to support credit review processes and internal analysis.
- Regulatory & Policy Compliance- Ensure all activities comply with NACHA operating rules, internal policies, and established control frameworks.
- Stakeholder & Vendor Collaboration -Liaise with application vendors, internal teams, and external partners to resolve critical issues and support process enhancements.
- Team Support & Knowledge Sharing- Provide daily operational support and knowledge transfer to peers and business partners; assist in informal training as needed.
- Workload Monitoring & Task Assignment- Monitor daily team workload, assign tasks as appropriate, and ensure adherence to service level agreements and timelines.
- Independent Task Execution- Execute standard tasks and responsibilities with minimal supervision while maintaining high accuracy and quality standards.
- Additional Duties - Undertake other responsibilities and assignments aligned with department goals as directed by management.

- Degree/master’s degree in Banking and Finance
- 3-5 yrs. of ACH Operations experience including batch processing
- US banking experience is a plus.
