Role Summary
You will own the
end-to-end operational onboarding and life-cycle management of all third-party (3P) content partners
feeding Elsevier’s AI products. Acting as the central orchestrator between partner organizations and our internal Product, Engineering, Legal and Finance teams, you will ensure content flows efficiently, contracts progress smoothly through internal processes, and stakeholders always know “where we are” against ingestion targets.
Scope note
- Individual contributor (no direct reports)
- Contract negotiation handled by Business Development; you shepherd agreements through Legal / Salesforce
- Most partners are in North America and Europe; occasional business-hours overlap meetings required
- Growth path may evolve toward Product Manager role
Key Responsibilities
Content Provider Management
- Own day-to-day relationship and SLA adherence for ~100 live providers across journals, books and OA aggregators
- Ensure compliance with internal standards and timelines
- Coordinate monthly ingestion, QA sign-off and payment cycles via Salesforce and Finance
Continuous Improvement and Scale
- Drive workflow optimization; reduce average onboarding time
- Track and manage content ingestion and delivery pipelines
- Proactively identify bottlenecks or operational inefficiencies
- Investigate and works with appropriate internal teams and external partners to address and resolve issues
- Lead rollout of automated contract flows and maintain playbooks for new partner types
Data and Reporting
- Publish monthly Tableau dashboards on ingestion volume vs. targets, partner health and revenue share
- Escalate risks early and maintain a transparent knowledge-base for internal stakeholders
- Supports the creation of and maintenance of a centralized knowledge base to support stakeholder transparency and accountability
Required Qualifications
- 3 + yrs in content operations or partner enablement within publishing or SaaS
- Proven program-management skills across functions
- Working knowledge of Salesforce or comparable CRM workflows
- Data fluency: can interpret dashboards (Tableau, Power BI) and spot anomalies
- Strong stakeholder communication and issue-resolution abilities
- Familiarity with digital content licensing concepts (rights, metadata, revenue share) a plus
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with AI-powered discovery, STM content, or open-access aggregation
- Exposure to product development methodologies and software e.g. JIRA/Confluence
Working Environment
Location: Remote or hybrid within North America or Europe time zones.Travel: < 10 % for occasional partner or team off-sites.
Reports to Director of Product Management; partners daily with Business Development, Engineering, Legal, and Finance.
