Accounts Executive – Garments Manufacturing (Bill Of Materials)

Job Title: Accounts Executive – Manufacturing, Costing & E-Commerce ( Garment Industry)

Reporting To: Accounts Manager / Finance Controller / Finance Head

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly detail-oriented Accounts Executive to manage end-to-end accounting functions for our sportswear garment manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate must have strong exposure to manufacturing cost accounting, Bill of Materials (BOM) preparation, fabric consumption analysis, and unit conversions from raw material stage to finished garment level.

The role also requires hands-on expertise in E-commerce accounting across platforms such as Amazon, Flipkart, and Meesho, along with strong working knowledge of GST, TDS, Payroll processing, and advanced Excel-based MIS reporting.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:1. Manufacturing & Cost Accounting:

• Maintain complete 

  books of accounts for garment manufacturing operations

• Prepare and monitor 

  production-wise and style-wise costing

   for sportswear garments
• Create and maintain 

  Bill of Materials (BOM)

   including fabric, trims, accessories, packaging, and wastage norms
• Perform 

  fabric unit conversions

   from:
• Kilograms to meters
• Meters to per-garment consumption
• Lot-wise and batch-wise fabric usage tracking
• Calculate 

  per garment cost

  , factoring in raw material, labor, overheads, job work, and conversion costs
• Maintain accurate records for 

  raw material stock, WIP, and finished goods

• Reconcile 

  production data with accounts and inventory records

2. Inventory & Production Accounting:

• Track inward and outward movement of fabric and accessories
• Monitor 

  fabric consumption variance and wastage control

• Coordinate with production and stores teams to ensure data accuracy
• Maintain 

  stock reconciliation reports

   and investigate discrepancies
• Support physical stock verification and audits

3. E-Commerce Accounting (Marketplaces):

• Handle end-to-end accounting for 

  Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho

  , and other online sales channels
• Reconcile 

  order-wise sales, returns, cancellations, and settlements

• Account for 

  marketplace commissions, shipping charges, penalties, and claims

• Track 

  payment cycles and settlement mismatches

• Ensure accurate 

  GST accounting for E-commerce transactions

• Maintain proper documentation for marketplace audits and disputes

4. Statutory Compliance – GST & TDS:

• Prepare and file 

  GST returns

   including:
• GSTR-1
• GSTR-3B
• GSTR-2B reconciliation
• Handle 

  Input Tax Credit (ITC)

   reconciliation and follow-ups
• Calculate, deduct, and file 

  TDS returns

• Maintain statutory registers and compliance documentation
• Coordinate with consultants and auditors for statutory matters

5. Payroll & Employee Costing:

• Process 

  monthly payroll

   accurately and on time
• Calculate salaries, overtime, incentives, deductions, and arrears
• Handle statutory deductions including 

  PF, ESIC, Professional Tax

• Prepare payroll reports and salary cost analysis
• Maintain employee payroll records and compliance data

6. MIS, Reporting & Analysis:

• Prepare 

  monthly MIS reports

   covering:
• Costing & profitability
• Production vs sales analysis
• Expense tracking
• Generate Excel-based reports for management review
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost-control initiatives
• Assist in internal and external audits

Skills & Competencies:Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of 

  garment manufacturing accounting

• Expertise in 

  BOM creation and garment costing

• Excellent understanding of 

  fabric unit conversions

• Hands-on experience in 

  E-commerce accounting

• Thorough knowledge of 

  GST, TDS, Payroll compliance

• Advanced proficiency in 

  Microsoft Excel

• Experience with 

  Tally / ERP systems

Qualification & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in 

  Commerce / Accounting / Finance

• 3–6 years of relevant experience in 

  sportswear or garment manufacturing accounting

• Experience handling 

  manufacturing + E-commerce accounts
