Accountant

Position: Accountant Location: Raipur, Chhattisgarh Department: Finance & Accounts Reports To: Finance Manager / Managing Director Role Overview The Accountant will be responsible for managing the financial records of Shanti Vijay Advertisers, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, compliance with statutory regulations, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making. This role is pivotal in maintaining the financial health and integrity of the organization. Key Responsibilities Financial Record Management: Maintain and update general ledger accounts. Record day-to-day financial transactions accurately. Ensure all financial data is organized and accessible. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices and ensure timely payments to vendors. Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding debts. Reconcile discrepancies in billing and payments. Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements with company records monthly. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies promptly. Taxation and Compliance: Prepare and file GST returns and TDS statements. Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards. Coordinate with auditors during financial audits. Payroll Processing: Calculate employee salaries, deductions, and benefits. Ensure timely disbursement of salaries and maintenance of payroll records. Financial Reporting: Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Provide insights into financial performance and suggest improvements. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor expenditures and suggest cost-saving measures. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 2 years in accounting or finance roles, preferably within the advertising or media industry. Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally). Strong understanding of GST, TDS Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Attention to detail and high level of accuracy. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
