We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accountant with 3–5 years of solid accounting experience. The primary focus of this role will be on stock accounting , expense tracking and categorisation ,system creation and matching payments & reconciliation across business units (A food takeaway business , petrol pump , Gas agency . This role will support overall financial accuracy and reporting for our small business operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys cleaning up numbers, building formats, and setting up basic systems — not complex ERP tools. Candidates with experience or interest in food costing, fuel/gas reconciliation, or system setup will be strongly preferred. Key Responsibilities 1. Stock & Inventory Accounting (High Priority) Maintain accurate records of stock inward, outward, and closing stock Track raw material consumption and stock variance Assist in monthly stock reconciliation (physical vs books) Flag stock mismatches, wastage, or abnormal consumption Maintain item-wise stock and cost data for food ingredients 2.Core Accounting & Reconciliation Maintain general ledger entries , including sales, purchases, expenses, and payments. Perform bank reconciliations regularly and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded. Match payments received to invoices and resolve discrepancies. Track vendor payments and follow-ups. 3.System Creation & Process Discipline Create and maintain: Stock tracking formats Reconciliation sheets Expense control trackers Standardise daily, weekly, and monthly accounting routines Improve visibility and accuracy of financial data 4.Reporting & Compliance 5.Expense Tracking Skills & Requirements : Must Have: 3–5 years of accounting experience Strong understanding of reconciliation and stock accounting Comfortable working with Excel and manual systems Ability to introduce and implement basic accounting software Good working knowledge of bank reconciliation and payment matching High attention to detail and follow-through Preferred / Advantage: Experience in: Food business accounting or food costing Petrol pump or gas agency accounting Experience implementing Tally / Zoho Books / similar basic tools Worked with small or owner-managed businesses Who This Role Is Best Suited For Someone who likes bringing order to messy data Comfortable starting with Excel and moving to software Practical, execution-focused, not theory-heavy Interested in learning business operations, not just entries Looking for a long-term role with responsibility Working Structure Full-time, on-site Monday to Saturday Reports directly to management Job Type: Full-time Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month Application Question(s): Please share your Current salary & expected salary.
