We are looking for an Accountant to manage our financial operations and ensure that all transactions on the platform are handled accurately and efficiently. Job Description : We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team at ipshopy. As the Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the financial transactions of the platform, including but not limited to sales, commissions, refunds, payouts to sellers and accounting for our internal operations. Your role will be crucial to ensuring the accuracy and transparency of financial data for both the company and our sellers. Key Responsibilities: Financial Record Keeping: Manage daily financial transactions for the platform, ensuring that all sales, commissions and fees are accurately recorded in Tally ERP . Maintain ledgers for both internal transactions and transactions between sellers and customers in Tally. Track incoming and outgoing payments for all sellers on the platform using Tally’s integrated features. Seller Pay outs & Commissions: Calculate and process seller pay outs using Tally, ensuring that commissions, fees and any applicable taxes are deducted. Provide sellers with clear and timely reports on their earnings and deductions through Tally. Invoicing & Taxation: Issue invoices to sellers and customers through Tally ERP, ensuring compliance with applicable tax regulations. Ensure VAT/GST or other sales tax requirements are properly calculated and recorded in Tally. Collaborate with external tax advisors for tax filings and reports. Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports using Tally for internal analysis and management review. Provide detailed reports on revenue generation, operating expenses and profitability using the Tally software. Monitor platform cash flow and provide forecasts via Tally’s financial tools. Bank Reconciliations & Payment Gateway Management: Perform regular bank reconciliations using Tally to ensure accuracy in financial records. Oversee payment gateways (Stripe, PayPal, etc.) and monitor payment transactions to ensure there are no discrepancies, integrating these systems with Tally. Audit and Compliance: Work with external auditors during annual audits to ensure financial records are in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Stay updated on e-commerce accounting best practices and new tax regulations in different regions where ipshopy operates. Support for Financial Decision-Making: Analyze financial data from Tally to help guide decision-making on growth strategies, pricing or financial planning. Provide financial insights to upper management regarding cost-saving opportunities and revenue-boosting measures. Qualifications: Education : Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. Experience : 2+ years of experience as an accountant, preferably in e-commerce or marketplace environments. Strong proficiency in Tally ERP for accounting, invoicing and financial reporting. Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and multiseller business models is a strong advantage. Skills: Strong understanding of financial reporting , reconciliation , accounts payable/receivable and taxation . Experience using Tally ERP to manage financial records, generate reports and handle accounts. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to analyze large amounts of data. Strong communication skills to work with both internal teams and external stakeholders (sellers, auditors, tax consultants).
