Job Description

Role & responsibilities:

1. Financial Accounting & Reporting

Maintain books of accounts as per accounting standards.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Handle journal entries, ledger scrutiny, and account reconciliation.
Support statutory and internal audits.

2. Cost Accounting & Inventory Control (Key in Manufacturing)

Monitor
raw material, WIP (Work in Progress), and finished goods
inventory.
Calculate product costing, standard costing, and variance analysis.
Track production costs and overhead allocation.
Coordinate with production & stores teams for stock accuracy.

3. GST, Taxation & Compliance

Prepare and file
GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-2B reconciliation)
.
Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, income tax, and other statutory laws.
Handle assessments, notices, and coordination with tax consultants.
Manage E-way bills and GST input credit reconciliation.

4. Accounts Payable & Receivable

Process vendor bills, purchase invoices, and payment schedules.
Monitor customer receivables, ageing reports, and collections.
Reconcile vendor and customer accounts.

5. Banking & Cash Management

Handle bank payments, receipts, and bank reconciliations.
Manage cash flow planning and fund requirements.
Coordinate with banks for limits, LC, BG, etc. (if applicable).

6. MIS & Management Reporting

Prepare
MIS reports
on cost, profitability, inventory turnover, and expenses.
Support management in budgeting and forecasting.
Analyze cost reduction opportunities.

7. ERP & Documentation

Work on ERP systems (SAP / Tally / Oracle / Busy, etc.).
Maintain proper documentation for purchases, sales, and production.
Ensure audit-ready records at all times.
