Role Overview: As a Chief Engineer or Master Mariner at Smart Ship Hub, you will be responsible for developing business opportunities, driving revenue growth, and ensuring delivery against key performance metrics. Your role will involve working closely with different teams to provide an excellent customer experience while reaching revenue goals. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in raising the company's profile as a provider of choice and contributing to the wider business success across the APAC, European, and UAE regions. Key Responsibilities: - Expanding Smart Ship Hub fleet of Digitally managed vessels and acquiring more vessels under the digital platform. - Conducting sales activities including prospecting and developing opportunities in large/medium size accounts. - Leading negotiations with customers to establish new Master Service Agreements. - Managing customer relationships, negotiating contracts, onboarding new vessels, and ensuring seamless integration of Smart Ship Hub solutions. - Ensuring pipeline accuracy based on evidence. - Identifying and capitalizing on new sales opportunities through networking and turning them into long-term partnerships. - Expanding knowledge of the industry and competitive posture of the company. - Ensuring customer satisfaction through efficient delivery, wider user acceptance, and timely actions across a range of activities leading to project execution. Qualifications Required: - Should have a minimum of 20 years of total work experience, with at least 5 years in the desired skillset. - Must have prior experience working with Ship Owners or Operators/ Technical Managers and possess a strong network and relationships within the maritime industry. - Demonstrated experience in driving active sales, customer success, client relationships, and revenue opportunities across various regions. - Proven track record of selling to large enterprise organizations, negotiating with executive/C-level stakeholders, and navigating complex opportunities. - Excellent written and spoken communication skills are required, along with the ability to make presentations and product demonstrations to decision-makers. - Bachelor's degree in marine sciences, engineering, and/or Business Administration, along with an MBA from a global management institution. - Flexibility to work for global customers, quick response time, and the ability to manage customer success effectively. - Tech and data-driven mindset combined with solid B2B sales and account management experience. - Strong team player, self-motivated, and recognized as a self-starter. - Knowledge of foreign languages is a plus. - Experience in coordinating at scale and managing customer success is essential.
