Job Title: Logstash Pipeline Developer

Key Responsibilities:

• 2-4yrs - Pipeline Development: Design, create, and maintain Logstash pipelines for various log sources, ensuring efficient data ingestion from multiple input sources such as log files, databases, and message queues.

• Data Transformation: Utilize Logstash filter plugins to parse and transform incoming data, ensuring it is structured and usable for downstream applications. Familiarity with filters like grok, mutate, and geoip is essential.

• Integration with Elasticsearch: Collaborate with the team to ensure seamless integration of Logstash pipelines with Elasticsearch for effective data storage and retrieval.

• Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor pipeline performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation. Use built-in monitoring tools to identify bottlenecks and improve pipeline efficiency.

• Documentation: Maintain clear documentation of pipeline configurations and processes to facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in creating Logstash configuration files including input, filter, and output stages.

• Understanding of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.

• Basic knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python or Ruby) for automation tasks.

Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in handling large volumes of data.
