Job Description

Summary:

Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Test Manager for our Supply Chain Management (SCM) team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the testing efforts for our SCM applications, ensuring the quality and reliability of our software solutions. The Test Manager will work closely with development, business analysts, and project management teams to deliver high-quality products that meet business requirements and industry standards.
 

Key Responsibilities:

Test Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and plans for SCM applications.
  • Define test objectives, scope, approach, and deliverables.
  • Identify and manage test resources, including tools, environments, and personnel.
  • Procurement system migration - need expertise in procurement/ Purchase/ Supply Chain Management process/ project experience

Test Execution and Management:

  • Prepare run plan and circulate daily status report to the stakeholders indicating the risks identified with mitigation plan.
  • Lead and coordinate the execution of test plans, including functional, integration, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing.
  • Ensure thorough testing of SCM systems, including procurement, inventory management, order fulfillment, logistics, and supplier management modules.
  • Monitor and report on test progress, defects, and test coverage.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices in testing.
  • Implement and maintain test automation frameworks and tools, when required.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of defects and implement corrective actions.
  • Knowledge and experience on defects tracking tool ADO is preferred.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Work closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Communicate test results, issues, and risks to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide inputs on quality and testing-related matters.
 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in software testing, with at least 2 years in a Test Manager role.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management processes and systems.
  • Proficiency in test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail) and test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, QTP).
  • Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE).
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and their SCM modules.
  • Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., LoadRunner, JMeter).
  • Knowledge of database querying and data validation.
