Key Responsibilities

Utility Project Sales & Business Development

• Drive sales of utility-scale BESS projects including standalone storage and solar + storage
• Own the full sales lifecycle from opportunity identification to order booking
• Build and manage a strong pipeline with IPPs, developers, EPCs, and utilities
• Engage early in project development to influence technical and commercial structures

Technical & Commercial Structuring

• Understand and explain BESS architecture, system configuration, and use-case suitability
• Support discussions on battery technology (LFP/NMC), PCS, EMS, safety systems, and degradation
• Lead commercial negotiations covering pricing, payment milestones, LDs, warranties, PBGs, and risk allocation
• Balance competitiveness with profitability and risk management
• Support customer confidence on bankability, certifications, and long-term service capability

Market & Competitive Intelligence

• Track competitor offerings, pricing trends, warranty structures, and contracting models
• Monitor regulatory developments related to BESS tenders, grid codes, and market mechanisms
• Provide feedback to leadership and product teams on market needs and gaps

Internal Coordination & Execution Handover

• Coordinate with engineering, sourcing, finance, legal, and project execution teams
• Ensure commitments made during sales are technically and commercially deliverable
• Support smooth handover from sales to execution post-order booking

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Power / Energy Engineering (MBA preferred but not mandatory)

• 6–10 years of experience in utility-scale project sales

• Prior exposure to

  BESS, solar, wind, transmission, or large power infrastructure projects

• Strong experience in tender-based and negotiated utility contracts
• Understanding of grid-scale energy storage applications and performance metrics

Required Technical Understanding

• Utility-scale BESS system architecture and operating philosophy
• Battery technologies (LFP/NMC), degradation, and lifecycle considerations
• PCS, EMS, and grid interconnection fundamentals
• Safety, certification, and compliance standards relevant to utility projects
• Commercial structures such as EPC, supply-only, and LTSA models
