1. Role Summary

software, projects and technology roles

The role requires someone who can understand complex technical requirements, proactively build a strong talent pipeline, and ensure a fast, high-quality hiring process aligned with BCITS’s growth plan.



2. Key Responsibilities

End-to-End Recruitment

  • Own the full recruitment lifecycle: understanding requirements, sourcing, screening, scheduling, selection, offer negotiation, and joining follow-up.
  • Manage hiring for technology roles (Developers, Tech Leads, Architects, DevOps, QA, Product, Data, Security, Cloud, etc.) and utility domain roles (AMI, GTD, Water AMI, Utility Consultants – good to have).
  • Managing Hiring for Senior Project Teams.

Stakeholder Management

  • Work closely with

    CTO,CEO, Delivery Heads, Product Owners

    to understand role requirements, priorities, and hiring plans.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with hiring managers on pipeline status, challenges, and timelines.

Sourcing & Talent Pipeline

  • Proactively source candidates using

    job portals, LinkedIn, social media, employee referrals, alumni networks, campuses, and niche tech communities

    .
  • Build and maintain a

    talent pool

    for recurring technology profiles and niche utility/IoT roles.

Screening & Evaluation

  • Conduct

    initial HR & basic technical fit assessments

    (skills, experience, communication, salary fit, notice period, stability).
  • Coordinate

    technical interviews, coding tests, domain discussions

    with internal panels.
  • Ensure candidates have clear understanding of role, project nature, and expectations.

Process Excellence & Documentation

  • Maintain an updated

    tracker

    of all open positions, candidates at each stage, TAT, and closure status.
  • Use ATS / Excel / internal tools to document candidate history, feedback, and outcomes.
  • Ensure recruitment processes follow

    BCITS policies, ISO 27001 / data privacy guidelines

    where applicable.

Offer Management & Joining

  • Manage salary negotiation within approved budgets, explain BCITS benefits & career path.
  • Ensure smooth offer rollout, documentation, pre-joining engagement, and joining-day coordination.
  • Track

    joining ratio, dropout analysis

    , and suggest improvements.

Metrics & Continuous Improvement

  • Track and report recruitment metrics:

    time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, source effectiveness, offer-to-join ratio

    .
  • Continuously refine sourcing strategies to attract high-quality talent quickly.



3. Required Skills & Competencies

Experience:

  • 3–7 years of experience in

    technical recruitment

    (in-house or agency), with majority in

    software/technology hiring

    .
  • Experience in hiring for

    product companies / SaaS / enterprise software / cloud / IoT

    is a strong plus.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Strong understanding of

    technology stacks

    : Java/Spring Boot, Microservices, Databases (PostgreSQL/SQL), Cloud (AWS/Azure), DevOps, QA Automation, Frontend (Angular/React), Data/AI (good to have).
  • Strong sourcing skills using

    LinkedIn, Naukri, job portals, communities, referrals, and direct sourcing

    .
  • Excellent

    communication and interpersonal skills

    – able to engage both candidates and senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to handle

    multiple requirements simultaneously

    and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong

    negotiation, coordination, and follow-up

    skills.

Good-to-Have (Utility Domain):

  • Exposure to hiring for

    Utilities / Power / Water / Smart Metering / AMI / Energy domain

    roles.
  • Understanding of profiles like

    HES/MDM engineers, AMI solution experts, RF/IoT engineers, Utility domain consultants, GTD experts, Water AMI roles

    (good to have, not mandatory).

Behavioral Competencies:

  • High ownership and accountability for

    position closures

  • Structured, process-oriented, and data-driven in recruitment.
  • Positive attitude, ability to work with cross-functional teams, and strong ethical standards.



4. Education & Qualifications

  • Graduate in

    Any Discipline

    (BBA, BCom, BSc, BE, BTech etc.).
  • MBA / PGDM in HR

    preferred but not mandatory if experience is strong.
