Product Engineering - Ahmedabad, Gujarat (Hybrid)

Technical Product Manager


This position will be a part of product engineering team with a fast paced, highly collaborative start up like environment, which will have the responsibility for enhancing and supporting product related features and modules using Java and related technology.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


The Technical Product Manager will assist in understanding and evolving foundational aspects of the product’s platform capabilities, including:


  • Integration Layer (Marketplace Connector Infrastructure, APIs, Web-hooks)
  • Internationalization & Localization
  • Search, Analytics, & Dashboarding
  • Profile, Authentication, & Role-based Security
  • Notifications Infrastructure
  • Admin Control Panels & Implementation Team Tools
  • Ongoing Standards Compliance (GDPR, WCAG/ADA, etc.)
  • Ongoing Evaluation of our Technical Architecture
  • Recommend AI and other evolving technologies

Responsibilities

This is a critical role at Malbek that will be a central player on the Product Team and report directly to the CLM Product Lead while working collaboratively with the whole team to set and drive Product Strategy, Development, and Success.


Product Strategy

  • Come up to speed on the overall market, competitors and technologies
  • Translate market and stakeholder needs into product goals and definitions. Collaborate with key stakeholders and the Product team to guide feature prioritization
  • Set and communicate product roadmap for your product areas to key internal stakeholders
  • Resolve business priority conflicts and adjust project priorities according to evolving business and project conditions


Product Development

  • Focus on defining important problems to be solved and collaborate with Product, Design and Engineering to bring prototypes and potential solutions to life for relevant areas.
  • Take responsibility for ensure that "Core Engineering” user stories are updated with appropriate details for implementations and Quality Assurance (QA) validation.
  • Translate roadmap goals into executable feature work-items/asks
  • Collaborate with the Product team to prioritize user stories for sequential and focused team progress, clarifying the Acceptance Criteria and the “definition of done,” as relevant
  • Be the "Voice of the Platform" during specification and development stages. Obsessed with delivering exceptional user experiences
  • Embrace Agile Development methodologies and be ready to iterate on designs, including launching capabilities in Beta mode to collect additional user feedback
  • Ensure new features conform to established design standards and performance goals
  • Adjust future scope, timing and priority of deliverables as necessary
  • Be a team “go-to” expert on evolving technology
  • Focus on defining important problems to be solved and collaborate with Product Design & Engineering to bring prototypes and potential solutions to life

Product Success

  • Able to communicate the business value of product capabilities
  • Act as a product champion, as needed, in support of sales channels
  • Track and report key user data and metrics to drive future product developments
  • Include both UX-debt and technical-debt reduction in all priority considerations


IDEAL CANDIDATE SKILLS:


The ideal candidate has worked previously in technical roles, likely in SaaS Software Engineering & Development, and has successfully transitioned into a more functional Product- and User-centric Role, perhaps as a Product Owner for some of the foundational aspects of their system. Design experience is not required though proficiency with Figma is highly valued. Similarly, prior direct exposure to the CLM space and/or Elastic Search would be a big bonus.


Skills and Experience

  • Outcome oriented and comfortable in a fast-paced environment. Your work will have an impact: the feedback and ideas you have today will quickly become the solutions of tomorrow.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • At least 4 years of Engineering experience with an interest in working in Product
  • At least 2 years of product management experience
  • End-to-End software product development skills and product ownership exposure
  • Strong background in consumer-grade SaaS product development and/or delivery. Structured approach with experience in agile development methodologies. History of collaborating across teams to achieve key outcomes
  • Enthusiastic about new technology and its transformational abilities
  • Ability to be productive in a globally distributed team through self-discipline and self-motivation
  • Familiarity with AWS services, SaaS architecture, LLM technologies, etc.

Very Nice to Have

  • Prior experience in Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM)
  • Expertise and/or exposure to Elastic search, API-layer ownership.
  • Experience working with Figma Interface Design Tools
