The Opportunity
As a Team Manager-Transformers Insulation & Components at INOPC-Transformers, Chennai you will handle a given line function’s operation, resource allocation, development of competence and people development. You will also need to collaborate with various factories, HUBs, Sales Units & cross-functional teams. You will be part of local management and act as a “sounding board” within the organization. Analysis and risk management will also be among your tasks.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Lead and mentor a team of Insulation & Components, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Plan and allocate resources efficiently to support global and local business needs
- Manage end-to-end sales, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Task tracking systems, risk assessments, and mitigation planning.
- Provide technical guidance in team and support sales process.
- Drive & monitor key performance indicators such as First Pass Yield (FPY), On-Time Delivery (OTD), and Efficiency
- Collaborate with global stakeholders, customers & cross-functional team to understand requirements, provide updates, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Develop and execute strategies for scope addition, team scaling, and long-term capability building.
- Create and maintain a roadmap for team growth, aligned with organizational goals and future technology trends.
- Identify skill gaps and implement strategies for competency development and career growth.
- Conduct regular team/individual performance reviews and set development plans
- Drive recruitment and onboarding of new team members to support business expansion. Ensure Diversity and Inclusion within the team.
- Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background
- Bachelor’s/master’s degree in engineering.
- 10+ years in Marketing & Sales functions (preferably in front end sales / Tendering / Order Management) in transformer manufacturing industry, ideally in a global or multi-location environment.
- Proven experience in managing sales process and working with global stakeholders.
- Strategic thinking with a proactive approach to growth and scalability.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and risk management skills.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building abilities.
- Ability with CRM-Salesforce and Power BI (Businesses Intelligent) tool landscape will be added advantage.
- Should have proven skills in communication and PowerPoint Presentation.
- Good knowledge in Tendering Process flow and Risk Assessment.
- Strong interpersonal skills to manage team dynamics, resolve conflicts, and maintain a positive work Environment.
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
