What would you do?
You will be aligned with our Finance Operations vertical and will be helping us in determining financial outcomes by collecting operational data/reports, whilst conducting analysis and reconciling transactions. A fund into which a sum of money is added during an employee`s employment years, and from which payments are drawn to support the person`s retirement from work in the form of periodic payments.
What are we looking for?
End to End understanding of pension related activities performed for assigned Client. Is responsible and owns the preparation of pension related accounting entries including accruals, liabilities and expensesLead monthly book closure discussions with clients and resolve open issues. In-depth understanding of Pension plans and processes for different geographies Reconcile pension ledger accounts and ensure accuracy and completeness of data Support in the calculation of pension liabilities, assets, and related actuarial assumptions Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures related to pension accounts Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP) and regulatory requirements Good communication and stakeholder management skills Review and approve team deliverables (journals, trackers, reports). Collaborate with actuarial teams, auditors, and external consultants as required Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle preferred). Ability to drive transformation, process improvements, and automation initiatives. Maintain detailed documentation of pension transactions and accounting processes
- Proven experience in pension accounting, actuarial, or related financial roles Experience working in a BPO environment or outsourcing setting Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy SAP/ Oracle Experience Strong understanding of pension schemes, actuarial principles, and accounting standards Roles and Responsibilities:
- In this role you are required to do analysis and solving of moderately complex problems
- May create new solutions, leveraging and, where needed, adapting existing methods and procedures
- The person would require understanding of the strategic direction set by senior management as it relates to team goals
- Primary upward interaction is with direct supervisor
- May interact with peers and/or management levels at a client and/or within Accenture
- Guidance would be provided when determining methods and procedures on new assignments

- Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies or errors in pension accounts Support audit processes related to pension accounting Continuously review and improve pension accounting processes and controls Perform “Root Cause Analysis” on issues faces and suggest appropriate corrective action for current remediation and future control Proven experience in pension accounting, actuarial, or related financial roles Strong understanding of pension schemes, actuarial principles, and accounting standards
