Tax Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Chartered Accountant (CA) with upto five years of experience in Direct and International Tax consulting at Chennai location to join our Corporate Taxation practice in a consulting environment.

This role has the following expectations:

• Primary contact point for Tax practice at Chennai location to Identify and pursue new leads for direct and international tax services, working closely with Location and Tax Heads to map and target strategic accounts.
• Proactively identify market opportunities and drive the development of innovative tax consulting products and digital solutions to enhance client value and differentiate the firms service offerings.
• Working closely with existing clients across industries and developing new client relationships delivering high-quality advisory, compliance and litigation support on Direct and International Tax assignments.
• Expert knowledge in Direct and International Tax domain with broad level understanding of

important topics in Indirect Tax and Transfer Pricing domain (with inputs from respective service

line experts based in other locations), to be able to effectively represent the overall tax service

line in client meetings

• Eagerness of building strong client relationships based on overall understanding of the business environment of client and multidimensional approach of thinking beyond core area of expertise
• Frequent participation in client and trade association events, client networking and follow up on opportunities, continuing dialogue with clients and trade associations as well as other relevant agencies
• Highly motivated to build a robust tax practice based on existing foundation and moving towards leadership role to manage such practice

There will be dual reporting to Location Head and Direct and International Tax Head.

This is a client-facing position that blends technical tax expertise in consulting and advisory domain as well as responsibilities towards building the practice, with strong support from the Location and Tax Head.
