Tableau Developer

ADP is hiring a Tableau Developer within our People Analytics & Insights team.

CORE

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Build and publish interactive dashboards on Tableau Server (including dashboard creation, report authoring and troubleshooting, and data source management).
• Create interactive filters, parameters and calculations for preparing dashboards and worksheets in Tableau.
• Work with team members to create useful reports and dashboards that provide insight, improve/automate processes, or otherwise add value to the team.
• Maintain (and provide suggestions to improve) our current inventory of standard dashboards.
• Interact with key stakeholders to understand requirements and execute these through iterative development approaches.
• Ensure consistency with team’s standards of excellence by adhering to an established set of coding and style guides.
• Ensure work products and presentations are error-free and conform to visual presentation standards – including data checking, proofreading, formatting and corporate branding guidelines.
• Understand and support the People Analytics strategy and act as a role model for the analytics team as we expand the amount of high-quality analytics and insights through the organization.

KEY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Extensive portfolio of BI dashboards, demonstrating design competence, capability, and methodology.
• Strong proficiency with MS Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent data management and analysis skills to assemble, clean and analyze data effectively.
• Immaculate attention to detail and a keen eye towards visual presentation of work product.
• A positive “can-do” attitude and a high personal accountability for results.
• Ability to successfully navigate complexity, ambiguity and pressure to get things done in a fast-paced environment that requires balancing competing priorities.
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to work with and communicate confidently with all levels of staff and management.
• Intellectual curiosity and passion for HR and Analytics (do you like to ask “why” and find insights/answers?)

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• At least

  five years of experience

  designing and developing business intelligence dashboards using Tableau.
• At least

  five years of experience using Tableau suite

  of products (Desktop Professional, Prep, and Server)
• Experience working with large and complex data sets; able to write simple queries to create calculated fields.
• Strong qualitative and analytical skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:

• Prior work experience with HR data within a large global company
• Knowledge of SQL/R/Python for data wrangling and data analysis
• Experience running reports / creating dashboards in IBM Cognos
• Experience with HTML and JavaScript
