Job Title: IT Support Engineer / IT Administrator

Reports To: IT Manager

Job Summary:

The IT Support Engineer will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting the organization’s IT infrastructure, including network devices, security systems, and end-user systems. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with firewalls, network switches, Wi-Fi configurations, and MAC systems, along with a good understanding of core networking concepts. The role also includes vendor coordination, software management, and inventory control.

Key Responsibilities:

Network & Security Management

•Configure, monitor, and maintain firewalls to ensure network security and data protection.

•Manage and troubleshoot network switches, routers, and wireless access points.

•Monitor and maintain Wi-Fi networks to ensure optimal performance and coverage.

•Configure and manage DHCP, DNS, and WAN IP settings.

•Implement and maintain VPN connections, ensuring secure remote access for employees.

•Maintain and document the network topology, configurations, and policies.

System Administration

•Provide technical support for macOS and Windows environments.

•Install, configure, and troubleshoot Google Workspace (G Suite) applications (Gmail, Drive, Docs, etc.).

•Manage Adobe software installations and licenses (Photoshop, Acrobat, Illustrator, etc.).

•Maintain and support printers, scanners, and other IT peripherals.

•Ensure timely OS updates, antivirus protection, and system patches across all devices.

Vendor & Inventory Management

•Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for IT equipment, software licensing, and support.

•Manage IT asset inventory, including procurement, tracking, and disposal of hardware and software.

•Maintain up-to-date records of warranties, licenses, and maintenance contracts.

•Evaluate vendor performance and maintain cost-effective supplier relationships.

General IT Operations

•Ensure uptime and reliability of all network and IT systems.

•Maintain proper documentation for all IT procedures, assets, and troubleshooting steps.

•Assist in planning and executing IT infrastructure upgrades and expansions.

•Provide end-user training and support for new tools or updates.

•Collaborate with other departments to identify and resolve IT-related issues efficiently.

Qualifications & Skills:

•Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

•Experience: 2–5 years of hands-on IT support or network administration experience.

•Technical Skills:

•Strong knowledge of firewalls (FortiGate, Sophos, or similar) and network switches (Cisco, HP, etc.).

•Understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, WAN).

•Experience with Wi-Fi setup, troubleshooting, and optimization.

•Familiarity with macOS systems, including configuration and software deployment.

•Proficiency with Google Workspace (G Suite) and Adobe Creative Cloud installations.

•Knowledge of inventory management tools and vendor coordination processes.

•Soft Skills:
