About the Role

Senior Systems Engineer


Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end design of UAV systems including avionics, propulsion, power, communication, and payload integration.
  • Define system-level architecture, interface specifications, and integration pipelines.
  • Optimize multirotor stability, flight efficiency, and payload adaptability.
  • Conduct flight readiness reviews, system-level testing, and tuning (PID, ESC, power balancing).
  • Lead the debugging of autopilot issues across PX4/ArduPilot stacks.
  • Analyze telemetry, flight logs, and fault data to iterate system reliability.
  • Work cross-functionally with software, electrical, and mechanical teams to ensure consistent integration.
  • Document system architectures, failure analysis reports, and mission configuration workflows.
  • Guide junior engineers and assist in vendor/supplier coordination for component procurement.


Qualifications

  • 5 to 8 years of experience in UAV systems engineering or aerospace platform development.
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Robotics, Electronics, or Mechatronics – or equivalent experience.
  • Hands-on integration experience with multirotor platforms using Pixhawk, CUAV, Cube, etc.
  • Proficient in flight control theory, MAVLink protocol, UAVCAN, GPS navigation, and telemetry systems.
  • Deep understanding of power systems, ESCs, BLDC motors, batteries (LiPo/Li-ion), and EMI considerations.
  • Strong command of tuning tools (Mission Planner, QGroundControl) and firmware configuration workflows.
  • Knowledge of UART, I2C, CAN, and sensor data buses (IMU, GPS, Barometer).


Desirable Skills & Interests

  • Experience in flight envelope testing, payload integration (e.g., LiDAR, EO/IR), and mission tuning.
  • Familiarity with DGCA/FAA UAV regulations and documentation standards.
  • Exposure to obstacle avoidance, RTK-GPS, and SLAM-based navigation.
  • Passion for field testing, drone racing, or autonomous UAV deployment.
