ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Disbursement Specialist is responsible for managing the disbursement process, ensuring that all payments are processed accurately and timely. This role involves collaborating with various departments to verify payment requests and maintaining compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and process payments, including checks, electronic transfers, and other disbursement methods. Review payment requests for accuracy and adherence to company policies. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies during the payment process. Assist in the development and implementation of improved processes for efficiency and accuracy. Maintain accurate financial records and databases for disbursements. Generate reports on payment activity for management review. Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
Maintain organized records to support audit trails.
Check whether the automatic or manual payment runs were scheduled. Monitor the payment run IDOC status report. Review payment run exceptions on a daily basis. Forecast funds to the treasury team for same-day and next business day's payments. Handle requests and queries from the functional email box. Process rush payments as per approvals from the leadership team within the online banking system. Keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in payment processing and record-keeping.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- A graduation (Finance& Accounting) equivalent work experience preferred.
- 4+ Years, work experience in finance, accounts payable, or disbursement experience Mandatory
