Responsibilities
Responsibilities :
- You will be part of the engineering team, designing, developing, and testing new product features while ensuring the ongoing functionality of existing systems, and collaborating closely with other engineering teams, product management, and UX.
- Independently/Jointly investigate, present options, review and implement completely new functionality OR re-architect an existing solution to meet growing needs.
- Design and implement solutions across the database schema, business logic, and presentation layer work.
- Apply industry best practices and established development methodologies to design, code, and deliver features and platforms with the highest levels of security, reliability, efficiency, and scalability.
- Analyze potential customer workflows and scenarios, investigate and reproduce customer-reported issues and resolve them as per defined service level agreements.
- Develop and execute test plans, and certify the work of peer engineers to ensure a high-quality product.
- Maintain code quality standards by writing unit, functional, performance, and scalability tests.
- Contribute to team's recruitment activities and mentor/guide junior members in the team.
- Participate in various scrum ceremonies such as Daily scrum calls, Sprint Planning, Sprint Retrospection and Sprint Demos.
Qualifications/Skills :
- Bachelor/Master degree in computer engineering or equivalent.
- 7+years of experience in developing software products with good exposure to software quality assurance processes.
- Deep understanding of core computer science concepts such as algorithms, data structures, and system architecture/design.
- Expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript, with a deep understanding of modern web frameworks (React, Angular, Vue).
- Hands on experience in one of the object-oriented languages like java, C#.
- Experience in writing SQL queries.
- Experience in designing complex solutions, providing architectural input on team-wide projects, defining branching strategies.
- Experience inarchitecting, developing, and testing robust RESTful/SOAP APIs.
- Strong practical experience using version control systems such as Git.
- Expertise in code reviews and promote good coding practices within the team.
- Expertise testing UI components of applications and developing automated scripts using tools such as Selenium or similar automation frameworks.
- Exposureto various Unit testing and automation frameworks.
- Should be able to shift between technologies based on the project need.
- Intimate working understanding of modern web applications from database to browser.
- Excellent problem solving, troubleshooting, debugging and analytical skills.
- Experience as a member of a scrum team.
- Experience in mentoring / guiding the junior members in the team.
- Excellent communicator in both technical and non-technical contexts.
- Experience in Advanced HTML skills: HTML5, CSS 3, XHTML, JSP would be an added advantage.
- Experience working with a product based company would be an added advantage.
