Role Purpose

We are seeking an experienced Compliance Product Manager with deep expertise in prepaid issuing platforms (PPI), comprehensive knowledge of RBI regulations and NPCI guidelines, and a strong grasp of regulatory compliance and audit management. The ideal candidate is adept at developing customer-centric compliance solutions, planning and executing, tracking PPI guideline updates, and ensuring seamless adherence to RBI norms while delivering exceptional user experiences.

Responsibilities We Entrust You With

• End-to-end ownership of compliance product strategy for prepaid issuing (PPI) platforms, ensuring alignment with RBI Master Directions on Prepaid Payment Instruments and NPCI guidelines.
• Design and deliver compliance-driven product features that enhance customer experience while maintaining strict adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Track, interpret, and implement changes in PPI guidelines, RBI circulars, and other relevant regulatory updates across the product lifecycle.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute internal and external audits—working closely with audit teams, legal, risk, and compliance functions to ensure readiness and successful outcomes.
• Develop comprehensive compliance roadmaps spanning multiple quarters, addressing regulatory changes, customer needs, and business objectives.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, operations, and customer success teams to translate regulatory requirements into intuitive product specifications and user workflows.
• Act as the compliance subject-matter expert across the organization— providing guidance on KYC/AML norms, transaction limits, wallet classifications, interoperability requirements, and data protection standards.
• Engage with RBI, NPCI, banking partners, and industry bodies to stay ahead of regulatory developments and represent the organization in compliance discussions.
• Drive stakeholder management with internal teams (product, engineering, legal, finance, risk, operations) and external partners (banks, auditors, regulators) to ensure seamless compliance integration.

Relevant Work Experience

• 7-10 years of product management experience with demonstrated expertise in prepaid issuing platforms, regulatory compliance, and RBI-regulated fintech operations.
• Understanding of RBI Master Directions on Prepaid Payment Instruments (PPIs), including KYC requirements, wallet types, transaction limits, and interoperability mandates.
• Proven track record in compliance product management—delivering solutions that balance regulatory requirements with superior customer experience
• Familiarity with digital payment ecosystems including UPI, IMPS, NEFT, and interoperable wallet platforms. Strong knowledge of NPCI products and guidelines, payment systems regulations, data localisation norms, and information security standards.
• Outstanding stakeholder management skills—ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, auditors, regulators, and senior leadership.
• Excellent analytical skills—translating complex regulatory requirements into clear product specifications and monitoring compliance KPIs.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Technology, Law, or related field required; MBA or professional compliance certification (CAMS, CFE, or similar) preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive experience planning and managing regulatory audits (internal, statutory, RBI inspections) including preparation, execution, and remediation
• Direct experience working with RBI-regulated entities (banks, NBFCs, payment system operators) on compliance product initiatives.
• Proven involvement in successfully navigating RBI inspections, statutory audits, and regulatory assessments.
• Experience implementing compliance solutions for enterprise clients, including large-scale merchant programs and corporate wallet deployments.
• Background in risk management, AML/CFT frameworks, fraud prevention, and customer due diligence processes.
• Experience with compliance automation tools, RegTech solutions, and continuous monitoring systems
