The Senior Platform Owner - Cloud will play a key role in driving the engineering function within Emirates NBD Global Services he/she is responsible for the overall delivery activities such as Defining the goal/vision/objective, manage the priority/backlog, retrospect, evaluate, assess the risks which all IAAS activities will be performed from, including UI and backend activities You will be expected to have a T-shaped profile profile to be able to switch between multiple disciplines based on the Technical/Project requirement where your core strength is playing a role of Tribe leader (Agile terminology). The ideal candidate is also expected to manage and understand software development life cycle, articulate & communicate business requirement, define product vision, create roadmap, help managing the priority, articulate value-driven backlog, anticipate requirements, sort out miscommunication., conduct technical & stage financial reviews. As a Senior Platform Owner you will be leading multiple squads to improve their delivery of solutions define and develop a culture of continuous improvement. Roles & Responsibilities: Standardized stack of products across Emirates NBD Datacenters that should meet the different workload requirements Drive projects to move the non-compliant products into the standard stack Automate the installation and configuration of standard stack items Perform code review of peers Well defined and actionable Strategy, Roadmap and Backlog for the Standard Technology Stack Establish the product backlog that require to be addressed on 2-week sprints Drive backlog projects to completion with infrastructure as code approach Lower the product TCO by driving efficiency and looking for innovative alternatives Continuous R&D and vendor engagement Automate the installation to achieve Zero touch unattended deployment Review all housekeeping activities and identify key processes that should be automated Introduce Open-Source technologies into standard technology stack Operational Stability Design solutions that cater for enhancing the operational stability Address Problem tickets, Risk and Audit items in the products backlog Requirements: Bachelor of Computer Science or Equivalent At least 15 years of experience at a relevant position in large organizations with hands on end-to-end deliveries. Experience of working in an agile environment, practicing Scrum, Kanban, XP or SAFe. Strong knowledge of Agile fundamentals and values along with practical implementation. SM or SAFe certificate is beneficial Proficient experience in implementation of at least in 3 technologies Virtualization (OpenShift, VMware, Containers), Storage (Block, File & Object) & Infrastructure Automation using Ansible, terraform etc. with skills in Networking is beneficial Must have worked in Engineering teams and product development. Must have good understanding of Infrastructure Automation and working experience with at least 1 Cloud technology (AWS or Oracle or Azure) Banking background Facilitating Scrum events such as Sprint Planning, Sprint Demos, Retrospectives, and daily stand-ups along with ensuring they have positive and productive outcomes Coaching the Team to improve their Agile & Lean practices, productivity, self-organization and develop a culture of continuous improvement Ability to gather Product requirements and develop solutions Creating Self independent squads and having ability to communicate and collaborate positively with remote teams Work as a Product Owner and Manage the backlog of multiple squads Strategic Thinking with Research and Technology mindset Adequate understanding of project management methodologies Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation) Show more Show less
