SENIOR PEOPLE BUSINESS PARTNER, INDIA & SOUTH ASIA

Role Overview:

As an HR Business Partner (HRBP), you will be a strategic advisor to business leaders. You will partner closely with leadership teams to drive business performance through people strategies, build organizational capability, strengthen employee engagement, and ensure scalable HR practices.You will act as the connective link between business needs and HR Centres of Excellence (Talent Acquisition, Rewards, L&D, HR Operations) to deliver exceptional employee experience and a high-performing culture.

Reports To: People Director – India & South Asia

Collaborates: Business leaders, India People Team and Group People Community

  • Strategic Business Partnership
  • Partner with India leadership to understand business goals and workforce needs.
  • Develop and execute people strategies that enable business growth and operational excellence.
  • Drive cultural transformation, change management and organisational effectiveness initiatives.
  • Support business heads in workforce planning, organisation design, and succession planning.
  • Leverage HR analytics to identify trends and provide actionable insights to leadership
  • Talent Acquisition:
  • Build annual hiring plans aligned to business strategy and budget
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for hiring
  • Drive the full recruitment lifecycle — from job requisition to onboarding.
  • Achieve agreed SLAs (time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, quality of hire)
  • Performance & Capability Development:
  • Drive performance management cycle including goal setting, mid-year and year-end reviews.
  • Coach managers to build strong performance and feedback culture.
  • Partner with L&D to close skill gaps.
  • Facilitate talent reviews, capability assessments, and internal mobility
  • Employee Engagement & Culture:
  • Act as an employee champion, running engagement forums, listening mechanisms, and recognition programs.
  • Support change management initiatives for organisation-wide transformations.
  • Support the implementation of HR projects such as compensation benchmarking, HRIS implementation, etc

Requirements:

  • 10-12 years of human resource leadership experiences in a fast-growing environment (technology, services, media & entertainment)
  • An ideal candidate would have strong business acumen & strategic thinking ability
  • Resourceful with high energy level, result-orientated, self-starter, team player and able to thrive in a fluid and dynamic environment
  • Possess excellent influencing and interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and able to develop and forge positive professional relationships with all levels of the organization
  • Possess strong analytical skills and able to solve complex issues quickly and creatively
  • Good team player, a self-starter; ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
