Role - Blast Furnace Operations and Process Control Roles and Responsibilities: Lead and oversee all operational activities of the Blast Furnace, ensuring optimal production, safety, and quality standards. To manage and control Pig Iron & Sinter Plant (SP) process and planning by setting furnace & process parameters, controlling deviations, ensure all parameters are within range. Drive achievement of production targets, fuel efficiency, and reduction in coke rate and slag generation. Implement best practices in furnace operation, tapping, burden distribution, and refractory management. Monitor furnace health and coordinate with maintenance for timely repairs and shutdowns. Ensure compliance with environmental norms and safety regulations. Lead continuous improvement initiatives including automation, digital monitoring, and process optimization. Collaborate with cross-functional teams for raw material planning, logistics, and downstream integration. Drive cost control measures and enhance operational efficiency through data-driven decision-making. Mentor and develop a high-performing operations team. Benchmark the operating KPIs of BF, SP & its auxiliaries with best performing plants within the country & globally so as to learn & achieve the best in class productivity in our BFs & SP at lowest cost. Introduce AI based digital technology like Robotics, etc. in material handling & other areas to reduce manpower dependence, enhance safety & optimize Cost. Role - Metcoke Operations and Process Control Roles and Responsibilities: Lead and oversee all operational activities of the Met Coke Oven, ensuring optimal production, safety, and quality standards. To manage and control Coke oven and planning by setting oven & process parameters, controlling deviations, ensure all parameters are within range. Coal Planning , handling & control and governance controls with regard to inventory & PV /Heap clearance.
