Senior Merchandiser

The Senior Textile Merchandiser is responsible for leading the end-to-end merchandising process — from fabric sourcing, product development, and costing to production management and timely delivery. This role requires strong expertise in textiles, vendor management, and buyer handling, along with the ability to guide junior merchandisers and support organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Buyer Handling: Manage international and domestic buyers, handle communication, approvals, and order confirmations.
• Product Development: Oversee fabric sourcing, dyeing/printing techniques, trims, and sampling aligned with buyer requirements.
• Costing & Negotiation: Prepare accurate cost sheets, negotiate with suppliers/vendors to ensure competitive pricing and target margins.
• Order Management: Supervise the complete order cycle — T&A planning, production follow-up, and on-time shipments.
• Vendor & Supplier Coordination: Build strong supplier networks for fabrics, trims, and accessories; resolve sourcing/production issues quickly.
• Quality Control: Collaborate with QA teams for inspections and ensure compliance with buyer quality standards.
• Team Leadership: Guide and mentor junior merchandisers, allocate responsibilities, and monitor performance.
• Reporting & Documentation: Maintain order sheets, shipment documents, MIS reports, and costing data.
• Trend & Market Awareness: Stay updated on fabric innovations, weaving, dyeing, printing, and finishing techniques to support product development.

Skills & Competencies:

• Deep knowledge of textiles, fabrics, weaving, dyeing, printing, and finishing processes.
• Strong buyer/vendor communication and negotiation skills.
• Leadership and team-handling experience.
• Excellent time management, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP/Merchandising software.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
