Job Description

Main purpose of job: Based at the British Embassy in New Delhi the job holder will be a member of the newly established team that will lead on the Commercial Project Management activities, including, date cleansing and reporting, procurement, quality assurance, risk management and co-ordination of DDaT projects for the United Kingdom’s (UK) Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO). The Team will be a part of the FCDO’s wider Commercial Directorate and report into the Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) Commercial Team located in the UK. The role of the New Delhi DDaT Team will be to lead and operate as a Commercial Project Management Office (CPMO) that are primarily focused on commercial service delivery for DDaT and FCDO key stakeholders across Diplomacy and Development. SEO for CPMO, New Delhi, will work closely with their line manager, wider CPMO and rest of the DDaT Commercial team in the UK to manage CPMO activities, that comply with FCDO’s processes and procedures. The jobholder will work closely and coordinate, manage and support CPMO services ensuring the team’s compliance to processes and procedures, reporting, data, administrating and quality assurance. Due to the remote management aspect of the role the job holder will require strong communication, interpersonal, and be a strong team member with the ability to interact with colleagues, customers and suppliers in the UK. Roles and responsibilities / what will the jobholder be expected to achieve: The primary responsibility of the jobholder will be to coordinate, manage and support CPMO activities and provide updates, for Technology-based procurement project and contracts management: Commercial Planning: Responsible for the design, development and tracking of commercial projects (procurement and contracts) with stakeholder and based on business needs. Work with DDaT to manage business case preparing requirements helping with return on investment analysis etc. Responsible for reporting and monitor market trends, competition activities and business needs to make sound and balanced judgements, report out detailed analysis and formulating proposals for senior grades. Support Contract and Procurement management activities: Develop and maintain quality assurance activities, auditing and data cleansing, data reporting and analysis for strategic decision making. Creating data reporting to be evidence base to help the business make informed decisions. Development and management for administration functions of procurement and contract management activities, for example, KPI tracking and risk management. Development of governance to help ensure compliance with procurement rules and regulations, ensuring correct data and documentation is filled and uploaded as required. Development and maintenance of contracts management function including the tracking of milestones, deliverables and associated financial impacts. Develop and maintain the reporting and quality assurance process across portfolio of procurement projects and contracts. Business partnering with overseas Contract Management Hub Finance management Assist in working procurement projects, contracts and wider stakeholders to understand financial landscape and develop and provide meaning reporting tools and templates. Work with stakeholder to define and manage reporting requirements, assist in understanding the impact of finance on FCDO DDaT Contracts portfolio. Business partnering with overseas procurement and Contract Management Hub. Stakeholder engagement and relationship management Develop a cadence of commercial and contract reporting, providing commercial data between the business, clients, and project teams. Guidance, support and assistance in building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders Risk and compliance management Oversight of risk management across the portfolio (Procurement & Contracts) Ensure compliance with legal regulatory, and contractual requirements Oversight of vetting and due diligence activities Development and maintenance of audit and risk reviews across the portfolio (procurement and contracts) Act as cover for the Head of CPMO For more details on salary & criteria, please click on the Apply Button.
