Senior Financial Analyst

Job Context: Birla Carbon operates globally across 13 countries with 17 manufacturing facilities, achieving a combined annual production capacity of over 2 million tonnes. The Corporate Finance department is integral to the company's financial planning, reporting, and control functions, driving value creation for the business. The role is tasked with leading and overseeing the detailed analysis of plant financial and technical performance, preparing and reviewing monthly and quarterly reports and analyses, managing the global consolidations of actual results, and spearheading the budgeting and forecasting process. This role also involves providing strategic support to the FP&A Head in providing area’s of improvement for the business.

Major Challenges:

• Cross-cultural coordination:

  Establishing effective communication and collaboration among various plants and geographies with different time zones.

• Granular financial analysis:

  Conducting in-depth financial analysis while understanding the business context and the needs of the users of those analyses.

• Data accuracy and timeliness:

  Carefully working with data from different sources, ensuring the accuracy of analysis and the timeliness of reports.

• Pattern identification:

  Regularly monitoring and identifying unusual patterns in financial data.

• Knowledge management:

  Establishing a repository of knowledge over time and applying it effectively.

• Industry awareness:

  Keeping abreast of changes in the Carbon Black ecosystem and applying this knowledge in a timely manner.

Lead the review of performance

2. Periodic Forecasting andUpdates

Lead and oversee the monthly and quarterly forecasting process

3. Annual Planning and Budgeting Activity

Analysis of Operational KPIs and Fixed Cost forecasted by plants

4. SAP / SAC Activities

Lead the SAP Standardization efforts

5. Ad hoc projects andanalysis

As may be required at by stakeholders in Corp. Office / Group

Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant (cleared in 1st attempt is preferrad)
• 10+ years' of relevant experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Strong quantitative financial skills and communication skills
