Senior Ethics & Compliance Lead

Role Overview: As bp transitions to an integrated energy company, you will play a crucial role in the Customers & Products (C&P) business area by joining the business and technology centre (BTC) in Pune, India. Your main responsibilities will involve supporting the delivery of an enhanced customer experience, driving innovation, and building global capabilities at scale using technology. Working alongside colleagues within C&P and other functions across bp, you will contribute to an exciting phase for bp and the customers & products BTC. Key Responsibilities: - Drive the strategic direction of the Ethics & Compliance Global Aviation programme as the Head of Ethics & Compliance Global Aviation, also known as the Senior E&C Liaison or Senior ECL. - Serve as a trusted business advisor to embed E&C globally across day-to-day operations, including being the primary contact for global aviation ethics and compliance enquiries, advice, and assurance. - Lead and present at critical governance meetings related to the Aviation E&C programme, identifying, assessing, and monitoring all risks, including Anti-Bribery & Corruption, Anti-Money Laundering, Competition and Anti-trust, and International Trade Regulations. - Support the expansion and application of an E&C plan to mitigate risks in Aviation globally and provide Trade Sanctions advice globally to Aviation. Qualifications Required: - Overall 12 years of experience with commercial, operational, business, and JV management responsibilities, including advisory experience of international trade regulations, ideally in aviation or related sector. - Proven ability to hold compliance positions expertly and objectively, collaborating with senior internal and external customers, and delivering strategic projects. - Strong strategic skills, risk management capability, and the ability to evaluate the impact of changes in the bp code of conduct, policies, regulations, or standards on a business's commercial, reputational, and regulatory environment. - Experience in leading teams and conducting business in high-risk regions, with the skills to influence senior leaders, challenge business leaders, and maintain independence and objectivity in speaking up when needed.
