Senior QA Analyst – Digital, Capabilities Squad, Corporate Technology

Role Profile
A Senior Quality Assurance Analyst responsible with experience in assuring the quality of agile web development projects built on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) technology. The quality assurance analyst will integrate in an agile team delivering web content management systems (WCMS) in a highly complex and dynamic environment. The quality assurance analyst will be working with the team to deliver high quality solutions and ensure these solutions are well documented and tested before they are released to production. The quality assurance analyst is comfortable working with agile development methods and participates actively in daily Scrum disciplines (stand-ups, estimates, progress reporting).

Tech Profile/Essential Skills
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience as a QA automation engineer with Strong sense of ownership
  • Experience of open-source User Interface (UI) test tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Java Script & Type Script
  • Good understanding Java and Shell scripts
  • Writing test automation scripts using BDD Tools - Cucumber, Spec flow, Gherkin etc.
  • Experience of API Testing using tools such as Postman, SoapUI etc.
  • Experience of working in software delivery methodologies such as Agile/Scrum.
  • Support and evolve CI/CD Platform for continuous testing.
  • Working on Linux / UNIX operating systems
  • Knowledge of Cloud Services and working on AWS Platform
  • Experience with automated testing tools or equivalent automation skills (BDD framework, API testing)
  • Experience with web-based application testing
  • Knowledge in SQL, REST, JSON, XML, HTML, XPath, CSS.
  • Experience in integrating the automation suite with Browser stack and ensure highest level of automation is achieved.
  • Tools: Jira, Confluence, TestRail, Xray test.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Experience in performance test execution like K6 / JMeter or equivalent.
  • Experience with Adobe Experience Manager will be desirable.
  • Hands on experience on Git / Gitlab runners / equivalent.
Education and Professional Skills
  • This will be Individual Contributor role.
  • Demonstrates some knowledge of standard software quality assurance processes and methodologies.
  • Experience in writing test cases and preparing test plans.
  • Test experience in web CMS projects (front end and backend).
  • Strong trouble shooting skills combined with excellent communication skills and ability and comfort ability to successfully perform the duty individually.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of automation framework.
  • Thorough working knowledge of software testing methodologies and the testing life cycle.
  • Identifies, communicates, and escalates issues as required.
  • A team player and self-starter who will work side by side with the development team.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks and quickly adjust in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Ability to learn and understand product and business needs to ensure we tests, and QA are aligned.
Detailed Responsibilities
  • Be the professional in a team of QA Engineers and contribute towards the best practices for quality assurance.
  • Take part in the planning and implementation of the testing and quality strategy for new and existing projects
  • Work with a scrum team to deliver digital experiences on AEM platform
  • Ensure code quality through automation testing
  • Create and maintain test scripts
  • Report test results, as well as any errors or issues discovered during testing
  • Experience on setting up automation test platform for the developers to execute the test cases and capture the metrics which could ensure quality output from the team.
