Purpose of the role
As an Sr. Analyst – Data Analytics within the Internal Audit team, you will drive the development and implementation of data analytics processes. You will partner with the Internal Audit Lead – Data Analytics and Internal Audit team to leverage your data analytics expertise to develop dashboards and insights that enable auditors to identify potential risks and control gaps across our global operations. This is an exciting opportunity to develop data analytics skills that will shape the Data Analytics Strategy for the Internal Audit team, collaborating with Internal Audit, business stakeholders, and external partners to identify key data sources and implement data analytics solutions that strengthen our control environment.Key Experiences gained: Global Role, Support on Complex Projects
Key Accountabilities
- Develop a deep understanding of General Mills' business, operations, and internal audit and controls framework.
- Support auditors in research, benchmarking, and risk assessments to develop risk-based audit plans.
- Identify and evaluate opportunities to leverage advanced analytics tools and techniques (e.g., predictive analytics, statistical modeling) to enhance audit effectiveness.
- Collaborate with the Internal Audit Lead – Data Analytics and Lead - Centralized and Continuous Auditing to address technical and analytical needs.
- Support on the development of analytics for continuous auditing in partnership with operational audit teams to expand audit coverage.
- Support the design and implementation of the Centralized Audit structure by developing dashboards and analytics to meet identified reporting requirements.
- Consult with Internal Audit team members on data analytics options to enhance audit and control activities.
- Build strong partnerships and working relationships with local and global stakeholders.
- Network internally and externally to stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends.
- Participate in continuing education to maintain and enhance skills and knowledge.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3 -5 years of experience in data analytics, preferably within an internal audit or risk management function.
- Good understanding of processes within the Manufacturing/ FMCG/ CPG industry.
- Proficiency in data analytics technologies - Alteryx and Tableau.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.

- Demonstrated process and project leadership skills.
- Ability to work remotely with global teams.
- Proven ability to work with and influence senior management and global stakeholders.
