We are seeking an accomplished Senior Business Analyst with 15+ years of experience in the insurance and financial services domain. This role requires a deep understanding of finance transformation, process optimization, enterprise performance management (EPM), financial close, general ledger (GL), master data management (MDM), finance data warehouses, actuarial systems, and regulatory frameworks such as IFRS 17.
The successful candidate will act as a strategic bridge between business, finance, actuarial, and technology teams, enabling scalable, compliant, and efficient solutions that drive operational excellence and regulatory adherence.
Key ResponsibilitiesProcess & Transformation• Lead end-to-end process mapping and optimization for insurance and finance functions, covering underwriting, claims, reinsurance, policy admin, and financial close cycles.
• Drive adoption of Business Process Management Systems (BPMS) to streamline workflows, reduce risks, and increase automation.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and compliance.
Finance, EPM & IFRS 17• Define and manage requirements for EPM solutions (planning, budgeting, forecasting, profitability modeling).
• Lead design and optimization of financial close, reconciliations, consolidations, and GL processes.
• Collaborate with finance and actuarial teams to ensure compliance with IFRS 17 reporting requirements, including data sourcing, calculation engines, disclosure, and reporting frameworks.
• Support alignment of GL, sub-ledgers, actuarial valuation models, and financial reporting systems.
Data, Systems & Governance• Define requirements for finance data warehouses, MDM solutions, and actuarial data integration.
• Ensure data quality, lineage, and governance to support finance and regulatory reporting.
• Translate complex business and actuarial requirements into functional specifications for IT delivery teams.
Qualifications & SkillsEducation & Experience• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Actuarial Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 15+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Finance Transformation Lead in insurance or financial services.
• Proven expertise in insurance finance processes and regulatory compliance (including IFRS 17 implementation projects).
Technical & Functional Skills• Strong knowledge of BPMS tools (Appian, Pega, Signavio, IBM BPM).
• Expertise in EPM platforms (Oracle EPM Cloud, SAP BPC, Anaplan, OneStream).
• Hands-on knowledge of financial close, GL, reconciliations, and consolidation systems.
• Experience with finance data warehouses, master data management, actuarial integration.
• Deep understanding of IFRS 17 actuarial and finance interactions (CSM, LRC/LIC, disclosures).
• Familiarity with actuarial systems (Prophet, Moses, RAFM, AXIS) and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, SAP Analytics).
Leadership & Soft Skills• Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong ability to influence and manage senior stakeholders (CFO, CRO, CIO).
• Excellent facilitation, communication, and negotiation abilities.
