Job Description

1. Business Development & Client Support

  • Identify, research, and pursue new business opportunities within the customs compliance and logistics sector (e.g., import/export firms, freight forwarders, customs brokers).
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure satisfaction and identify upselling or cross-selling opportunities.
  • Support the front-end sales team by preparing proposals, quotations, and tenders for customs compliance services.
  • Track and analyze client feedback to refine service offerings and align them with regulatory and market changes.

2. Market & Competitor Analysis

  • Monitor market trends, trade regulations, and government policies affecting customs compliance and international trade.
  • Analyze competitors’ services, pricing, and market positioning to support strategic planning.
  • Generate periodic business intelligence reports to guide management decisions.

3. Customs Compliance Coordination

  • Coordinate with internal compliance and operations teams to ensure all client documentation and processes meet customs and trade regulations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tariff classifications, import/export documentation, valuation procedures, and trade agreements.
  • Support the development and implementation of compliance programs or automated systems to improve accuracy and efficiency.

4. Documentation & Administrative Management

  • Oversee back-office documentation such as client onboarding forms, compliance checklists, and audit trails.
  • Ensure proper recordkeeping of all customs-related documents in line with regulatory retention requirements.
  • Manage internal databases (CRM, ERP, or customs management software) to maintain accurate and current client and transaction information.

5. Cross-Department Collaboration

  • Liaise with finance for billing accuracy, client credit checks, and revenue reporting.
  • Collaborate with operations, legal, and compliance teams to ensure business activities adhere to international trade regulations.
  • Provide administrative and analytical support for audits and internal reviews.

6. Reporting & Performance Analysis

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports on sales leads, conversions, client retention, and business growth performance.
  • Track KPIs such as lead-to-client conversion rates, revenue growth by segment, and customer satisfaction scores.
  • Present business development forecasts and performance data to senior management.

7. Process Improvement & Automation

  • Identify opportunities to streamline back-office operations and improve data accuracy.
  • Support digital transformation projects (e.g., integrating customs compliance tools, CRM systems, or reporting dashboards).
  • Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and compliance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From ₹35,000.00 per month
