Job Title: Senior Accountant

Location: RAJNANDGAON CG

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of accounting principles, strong analytical skills, and experience managing complex financial transactions. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in overseeing day-to-day accounting functions, preparing financial statements, managing audits, and ensuring compliance with tax laws and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS).
  • Provide detailed reports to senior management, highlighting key financial insights, variances, and trends.
  • Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements for the company.
  • General Ledger Management:
  • Oversee the maintenance of the general ledger, ensuring that all journal entries are recorded accurately and timely.
  • Reconcile and balance accounts, ensuring the accuracy of financial data.
  • Review and approve accounting entries, ensuring they align with company policies.
  • Tax Compliance & Reporting:
  • Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns (including VAT, sales tax, and income tax).
  • Stay updated on tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax requirements.
  • Work with external auditors and tax consultants to ensure timely and accurate tax filings.
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable:
  • Supervise and review accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate processing.
  • Oversee the management of vendor and customer accounts, ensuring correct payments and collections.
  • Address any discrepancies and resolve issues related to billing, payments, or collections.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting:
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, working closely with department heads to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Monitor actual performance against budget and provide variance analysis.
  • Recommend adjustments to budget allocations based on financial trends and business needs.
  • Audit Coordination:
  • Lead internal and external audits, working closely with auditors to ensure compliance with accounting regulations.
  • Prepare necessary documentation and schedules for audit inquiries.
  • Implement corrective actions based on audit findings and ensure effective internal controls are in place.
  • Internal Controls & Compliance:
  • Develop and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Identify areas of risk and recommend strategies to mitigate potential financial issues.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Team Leadership & Mentoring:
  • Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance on complex accounting issues.
  • Review the work of junior accountants and provide constructive feedback.
  • Foster a collaborative and efficient work environment within the finance team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, CA, or CMA preferred).
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior accounting or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, tax laws, and internal controls.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations, GAAP, and IFRS.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and automation tools.
  • Experience with international accounting practices and multi-currency reporting

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
