1. Financial Ensure effective maintenance of the pay plan and benefits program to minimize costs of excessive pay plans Evaluate alternate means of recruitment of talent at the plant to ensure minimum cost of talent acquisition, in line with overall budgeted plan approved by Group HR Head Ensure appropriate portion of rewards are aligned with performance to minimize excess pay outs Take initiatives to drive growth for DCBL/Refractories and ensure sustained growth in line with long-term and short-term objectives of the organization 2. Customer Build cordial relationships with recruitment and hiring agencies to catch up with the best talent available in the industry at reasonable costs Liaison with external stakeholders such as Govt authorities to ensure compliance with the local as well as national level policies and provisions Negotiating and amicably settling disputes arising by workmen and local association/union related to personal disputes, Wages Settlement, discipline, behavior, transportation etc 3. Operations Manage end-to-end recruitment and selection process for both Contract hiring and permanent hiring Maintain management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures for the plant Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues Monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the plant, to ensure that they are in line with the practices relevant across the organization Administer local salary performance review procedure, and employment related policies and procedures on a periodic basis Support the administration of Worker's Compensation and coordination of safety programs at the plant level; Organize regular workshops/seminars to sensitize employees related to HR Best practices, compensation structures, motivation and wellness, and other events like sports day, CSR activities etc Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics and analysis Ensure compliance with government regulations and policies related to factory workers like Minimum Wages Act, etc Ensure initiation and sensitization of the employees towards digitization and automation of the processes Focus on utilization of advanced business analytics tools to derive key insights critical for the success of the organization 4. Self/ Team Development Review and monitor performance of team members and provide requisite developmental support/ inputs Recommend training as required for teams development Develop the team and update their knowledge base to cater the organization need Strategize avenues for enhancing employee satisfaction in the function, resulting in high engagement levels of employees
