SAP ABAP Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer with hands-on experience in designing, developing, and supporting SAP ABAP solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, a good understanding of SAP functional processes, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain SAP ABAP programs including Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, and Forms (RICEF).

• Work extensively on ABAP Objects, ALV Reports, User Exits, BADIs, and Enhancements Framework.
• Develop and support SmartForms, SAP Scripts, and Adobe Forms.
• Collaborate with functional consultants to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Perform performance tuning and code optimization to ensure scalable and efficient solutions.
• Support integration with other SAP modules and third-party systems.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Ensure adherence to SAP best practices, coding standards, and documentation requirements.

• Mentor junior developers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

Key Skills & Qualifications

• 5–7 years of strong hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development.

• Proficiency in ABAP Objects (OOABAP).
• Experience with IDOCs, BAPIs, RFCs, and Interfaces.
• Strong knowledge of ALV (Classical, Interactive, OO ALV).
• Hands-on experience with Forms (SmartForms / Adobe Forms).
• Good understanding of SAP functional modules such as FI, CO, MM, SD, or HR.
• Exposure to Enhancement Framework, Workflow, or Web Dynpro ABAP is a plus.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA ABAP, CDS Views, or AMDP is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in support and implementation projects.

• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA migration or optimization projects.

• Prior experience in Agile or hybrid delivery models.
