Job Description Sales Manager (Institutions)
Location: Banglore Department: Sales & Marketing
Role Summary
The Sales Manager Institutions will be responsible for driving sales across institutional clients including airlines, colleges, corporates, schools, caterers, and private-label buyers. The role requires B2B selling expertise, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to open high-volume accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop sales pipelines and secure key institutional accounts. - Build strong long-term relationships with purchase heads, SCM teams, F&B service managers, and decision-makers. - Lead end-to-end key account management: proposals, pricing, contracts, service levels, and retention. - Identify private-label opportunities and manage co-development of products. - Drive category expansion based on customer insights and institutional needs. - Achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets and monitor account performance. - Liaise with internal teams for forecasting, supply planning, and quality compliance. - Track competition, market trends, and new institutional opportunities.
Candidate Profile
- 6- 12 years of institutional/B2B food sales experience. - Strong exposure to bakery, frozen bakery, premixes, syrups/flavours, seasoning, or food ingredients. - Experience with brands such as Puratos, General Mills, Knorr, Synthite, Symega, Kerry, Griffith, Dohler, Cremica, Delifrance, Brydor, Compass Sodexo/Accor etc. - Proven ability to open and manage high-volume institutional accounts. - Strong negotiation, pricing management, and relationship skills. - Ability to handle private-label projects and customised client requirements.
