Position Overview:

The Assistant Operations Manager will be responsible for driving operational efficiency, improving workflow standardization, and enhancing the culture of excellence within the Daman facility. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Assistant Operations Manager will oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring seamless coordination between departments, adherence to food safety protocols, and continuous process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operational Excellence:

• Assist in managing all operational aspects of the Daman facility, including blown film extrusion, laminates trading, and bag-making operations.
• Lead initiatives to streamline processes, improve productivity, and reduce operational waste.
• Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to ensure high levels of operational efficiency.

• Workflow Standardization:

• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) across all departments to ensure consistent and efficient workflows.
• Collaborate with department heads to review and revise processes to align with industry best practices and company objectives.

• Food Safety Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards throughout the facility.
• Collaborate with the quality control team to implement and monitor food safety protocols and practices.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain compliance with national and international food safety requirements.

• Team Leadership & Collaboration:

• Work closely with department heads to ensure smooth coordination and communication between departments.
• Support the development and training of operational staff to foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
• Act as a liaison between the Managing Director and the operational teams, ensuring that strategic goals are translated into actionable plans.

• Performance Monitoring & Reporting:

• Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production, quality, and safety to assess operational efficiency.
• Prepare and present regular reports to the Managing Director on operational performance, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.

• Continuous Improvement:

• Lead initiatives to introduce automation, reduce downtime, and improve overall operational performance.
• Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and recommend innovations that align with company goals.

• Health & Safety Compliance:

• Ensure that all health and safety regulations are adhered to within the facility.
• Promote a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and conducting regular training sessions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in operations management, preferably in the packaging or manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards and compliance.
• Proven track record of improving operational efficiency and driving process standardization.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in using ERP systems and operational management software.
