Position Overview

The Sales Coordinator will play a critical support role in ensuring smooth operations of the Sales Department. This position involves managing sales data, preparing reports, coordinating with sales managers and field teams, and assisting in achieving sales targets through effective planning, follow-ups, and communication.


Key Responsibilities

Sales Coordination & Reporting

  • Collect, compile, and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports from all regional and zonal sales managers.
  • Maintain consolidated MIS reports including sales performance, target vs achievement, and SKU-wise sales.
  • Track primary and secondary sales, pending orders, and stock availability.

Communication & Follow-ups

  • Act as a central point of contact between sales managers, distributors, and internal departments (finance, logistics, marketing, production).
  • Follow up with the sales team on order status, payment collections, and dispatch updates.
  • Communicate new product launches, schemes, and pricing updates to the field sales team.

Order & Dispatch Management

  • Coordinate with the supply chain/logistics team for timely order processing and dispatch.
  • Ensure accurate order entries, billing, and documentation.
  • Maintain dispatch trackers and ensure deliveries are made as per schedule.

Sales Data & Analysis

  • Prepare and maintain databases for customer master, distributor performance, and territory-wise sales.
  • Analyze trends, sales gaps, and highlight opportunities for improvement.
  • Support management with ad-hoc data requirements and presentations.

Administrative Support

  • Manage sales team attendance, tour plans, expense statements, and claims.
  • Assist in scheduling sales review meetings, preparing MOMs, and tracking action points.
  • Maintain proper filing and documentation for all sales-related activities.


Key Accountability Areas (KAA)

  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, and MIS reporting.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and work under deadlines.
  • Familiarity with FMCG industry processes, especially in spices or food categories, preferred.
  • Knowledge of Field Assist software will be an added advantage.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Graduate / Postgraduate in Commerce / Business Administration / Marketing.
  • 5 years of experience in sales coordination, preferably in FMCG / food / spice industry.
  • Innovative mindset with a passion for technology and trends
  • Team player with leadership abilities and Adaptable to change and quick learner
