Marketing Manager (Field – New City Development & Deal Support)

Location: Base at Ahmedabad; Pan-Gujarat travel
Travel: ~75% of the month (approx. 20–22 days) within Gujarat
Function: Growth/Marketing (with strong Sales Enablement)
Reports to: Head – Sales & Marketing

Role Summary

You will build new city markets across Gujarat and accelerate closures in existing Gujarat cities by working shoulder-to-shoulder with local teams. The role blends market creation (architect/builder/channel outreach, activations, and specs) with hands-on deal support (demos, BOQs, negotiations) to convert pipeline into revenue.

Key Responsibilities

  • City Launch & Market Creation
  • Map priority Gujarat cities; build 30/60/90-day city playbooks (ICP, target architect/builder lists, channel gaps, competitor scan).
  • Run outreach campaigns (cold visits, events, site demos, CP/architect meets) to open new logos.
  • Onboard and activate channel partners/applicators; ensure merchandising and sampling.
  • Deal Support & Team Enablement
  • Travel with city sales reps to key accounts; run product demos, mock-ups, BOQ/spec support, and commercial negotiations.
  • Coach reps on opportunity strategy, objection handling, and closing; conduct weekly pipeline clinics and ride-alongs.
  • Accelerate specification wins with architects/PMCs; follow through till PO/invoicing with city teams.
  • Marketing Activation
  • Execute city-level activations: architect roundtables, site demos, trade meets, and local digital pushes.
  • Localize collaterals (case studies, shade decks, sample kits); collect testimonials and site photo/video content.
  • Process, Reporting & Compliance
  • Maintain CRM hygiene (Odoo/Zoho): leads, activities, stages, forecast, win/loss notes.
  • Submit weekly Gujarat market creation scorecard and a concise travel MIS; track ROI of activations.
  • Adhere to travel/expense and ethical selling policies; ensure site safety norms.

Success Metrics (KPIs)

  • New qualified accounts opened per month in Gujarat (architects/builders/channel).
  • Sample/demo → order conversion rate & total monthly assisted order value.
  • Number of specification wins and city-level activations executed.
  • Partner/applicator onboarding & first-90-day revenue activation.
  • CRM discipline: % opportunities with next steps and updated close dates.

Qualifications

  • 5–8 years in B2B building materials/finishes (paint, textures, coatings, tile, adhesives, waterproofing, etc.).
  • Proven new-market development in Gujarat + complex deal support experience.
  • Strong network with architects, interior designers, builders/contractors across key Gujarat cities.
  • Bachelor’s degree; MBA/PGDM preferred.

Skills & Traits

  • Hunter mindset with closing discipline; excellent negotiation & presentation.
  • Hands-on with site demos/BOQs/specifications; strong product & technical curiosity.
  • Data-driven: pipeline management, forecasting, and ROI tracking.
  • Fluent in Gujarati + Hindi (English preferred). Valid DL; comfortable with frequent travel.

Tools

  • CRM (Odoo/Zoho), MS Excel/PowerPoint/Google Suite; WhatsApp Business; LinkedIn Sales Navigator (preferred).

Compensation & Benefits

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
