Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Robotics Engineer located in South Delhi. The Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing robotic systems and applications. Day-to-day tasks include creating and optimizing automation processes, conducting detailed analysis and troubleshooting, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to achieve project goals. The engineer will also be involved in software development related to robotics and must maintain clear and effective communication with team members and stakeholders.


Core Responsibilities


1. Mechanical Design & Prototyping:

·        Design robotic components, structures, and assemblies using CAD tools (SolidWorks).

·        Develop and test prototypes to ensure stability, functionality, and performance.

·        Prepare detailed manufacturing drawings and documentation.

·        Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles and GD&T standards.

·        Utilize knowledge of subtractive, additive, moulding, and forming manufacturing processes.


2. Engineering Analysis:

·        Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for static, dynamic, and impact studies.

·        Conduct Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis to assess flow dynamics, drag, and thermal performance.

·        Apply principles of kinematics, dynamics, and material science to optimize robotic systems.


3. Component Selection & System Integration:

·        Select appropriate materials, actuators, sensors, and drive systems for robotic applications.

·        Collaborate with electrical and software teams to ensure seamless mechanical and control system integration.

·        Support the full design-to-manufacturing life-cycle.


4. Testing & Troubleshooting :

·        Conduct performance and endurance testing under various conditions.

·        Identify and resolve mechanical and system-level issues through structured root-cause analysis.

·        Support validation and reliability improvement efforts.


5. Documentation & Compliance:

·        Maintain complete design documentation, test reports, and maintenance procedures.

·        Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements.



Key Skills:

a) Basic Skills:

1.      Proficiency in SolidWorks (3D design, drafting, FEA, CFD).

2.      Knowledge of programming languages: C++, Python, MATLAB for modeling and control simulation.

3.      Understanding of embedded systems, micro-controllers, and sensors used in robotics.

4.      Strong foundation in mechanics, calculus, linear algebra, and physics.


b) Advanced Skills:

1.      Experience with ANSYS or other advanced simulation tools.

2.      Expertise in material selection, manufacturing processes, and fluid mechanics.

3.      Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

4.      Excellent collaboration, communication, and documentation skills.

5.      Adaptability and commitment to continuous learning in evolving robotics technologies.





Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, and experience and Knowledge in the softwares mentioned above.
