Job Description

I. Role Summary: The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for leading sales, distribution, and contract farming operations across the entire region. This role is focused on achieving aggressive sales targets, overseeing storage and stock management, and training and motivating the regional team (TMs/FEs). The RSM acts as the primary link between the field, supply chain, and senior management. II. Core Responsibilities A. Sales, Revenue, and Contract Management Target Achievement: Exceeding the assigned monthly and quarterly sales targets, specifically the regional goal of 300 Tons of Vermicompost. Strategy Development: Formulating and executing aggressive sales strategies and regional growth plans to maximize market penetration in the contract farming sector. Contract Compliance: Ensuring TMs and FEs strictly adhere to the Contract Farming Agreement clauses (e.g., 100% advance payment for Vermicompost). Buy-Back Coordination: Streamlining the buy-back procurement process during harvest and ensuring all contractual obligations to farmers are met efficiently. B. Storage, Inventory, and Logistics Management (Key Focus) Warehousing: Identifying, evaluating, and securing regional storage facilities or warehouses to ensure the Vermicompost stock is stored securely and protected from damage or loss. Inventory Control: Strictly monitoring stock levels, ensuring inventory accuracy, and managing stock rotation (First In, First Out - FIFO) to minimize product aging. Distribution Logistics: Coordinating logistics to ensure efficient and timely delivery of the Vermicompost Product from the warehouse to the dealer or farmer. Storage Audits: Conducting regular audits of storage locations for quality control, cleanliness, and adherence to safety standards. The RSM is accountable for all inventory within the region. C. Team Development and Reporting Leadership and Training: Recruiting, training, and managing a high-performing team of Territory Managers (TMs) and Field Executives (FEs) on the performance-based sales model and contract protocols. Performance Review: Conducting daily, weekly, and monthly performance reviews and rigorously implementing improvement plans for underperforming team members, upholding the company's strict performance policy. Market Intelligence: Preparing detailed reports on market trends, competitor activities, sales forecasts, and farmer feedback for senior management. Qualification Details: Bachelor’s degree (Graduation) in Agriculture, Business Management, or a related field. Experience : Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in the Agri-Input, fertilizer, or Contract Farming sector, with at least 3 years in team management and direct oversight of Storage and Logistics. Skills: Excellent leadership, negotiation skills, proven ability in data analysis, and proficiency in MS Excel/CRM tools. Other: Fluent communication in the local language (Hindi) and English, ability to undertake extensive travel within the assigned region. Salary: 50000 to 60000/-PM, + Incentive.
